If the game moves to Christmas, I'll buy tickets from anyone who can't go for $0.49/each.

NFL officials have told the Eagles that the Dallas games - Oct. 8 at Lincoln Financial Field, Christmas Day in Irving, Texas - would not be switched. There have been many rumors and some media reports that if the Phillies make the playoffs, the Eagles would not play at home Oct. 8. In fact, there have been various combinations of Phillies, Eagles, Sixers and Flyers games, some of them playoff contests, on the same dates at the South Philadelphia sports complex over the years and nobody has moved a regular-season game because of it in recent memory. Some of the national media and/or blogosphere people spreading this rumor must be under the impression the Eagles and the Phils play in the same stadium, which, of course, they don't...

mlb is stupid. they have the playoff schedules made up before they now which teams will be in the places. the wild card team and the division winner they play are set to go wed, thur then sat, sun and mon. the two teams to worry about are minnesota and oakland. both share stadiums and will make the playoffs. the phillies series, in order to avoid the traffic and logistics problems, should be tue, wed then fri, sat then sun or mon (away obviously). but mlb is dumb, so it aint.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Don't fall for it.  It's a mirage.

I'm all for it as a backup and at the league minimum.

He has said that he will take a signficant pay cut and a less prominent role to stay in Philly.

Maybe Coste will play some third in ST so Ruiz, Lieby, and Coste can all get good playing time.

Yea catching is going to be a pretty mediocre position with Ruiz (a career backup at best), Coste (marginal ML player) and Loserthal (old like my nutsack). Gillick has a variable pick of the litter. Of crappy catchers.

Yea having two catchers with an .800 OPS and a young catcher that had a .850+ OPS in AAA is such a burden.
