I think forensics got too good and police stopped publicizing that murders were linked, so now attention-seeking nutjobs prefer a single blaze of glory.

Man I can't believe that was 20 years ago. I had just moved to DC when the snipers were doing their thing.  Two of them were within a mile of where me and Russell were living.  It was wild, people were panicking while putting gas in their car, like putting the pump in, then getting back in the car and ducking down until getting it out quick and taking off. As a young 20 something I did not just to look brave but in my head I was afraid lol.
