Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

QuoteA year ago, Adnan Syed was serving a life sentence for murder and about to start taking classes from Georgetown University in a Maryland prison.
Now, the 41-year-old man is free after a court vacated his murder conviction. Prosecutors dropped the case and said that Syed was "not involved" in the killing.
And in yet another twist to a saga publicized in 2014 in the true-crime podcast "Serial," Syed has landed a full-time job with Georgetown as a program associate for the university's Prisons and Justice Initiative. Its programs include education and training for incarcerated individuals and others who have left prison.

Happy New Year to everyone as well

Maybe 2023 is when we kick this three year funk

Happy New Year.  Right now, my street sounds like a warzone because of all the fireworks.  :yay

It can't get any worse... right?

We live in unincorporated Harris County - west of Houston - and they're legal here. They're illegal within city limits (which doesn't meant shtein) but out here I can only imagine this is what Fallujah sounded like.

In a couple square mile radius the firework stores likely outnumber the population of some small towns.

The fireworks start here around Christmas eve and don't stop until several days after January 1st. My girl has to dope the dogs up bc they're terrified.

We also have the game of "gunshot or firework" - that's always fun. I've already seen people on Fb and Twitter picking bullets out of their windshield.

A few years ago between the fog that we seem to get every NYE and the firework smoke it caused near zero visibility.

Prob gonna happen again tonight since we have fog coming in and that area showing over 300 is close to our hood

2022 ended for me with a terrible blow...I'm ready to put it away.

Wishing you all peace.

In Florida, they're only supposed to be legal for scaring birds away from farms and fisheries with certification... except on NYE, New Year's and Independence Day.

Between the fireworks and the dozen or so in the neighborhood firing off semi-automatics until after 1 a.m....  don't they know I'm old and need to get to sleep!  :crazy
