If Sunny is working the normal 40 hours a week with two weeks off, it's actually an extra $2.50 per hour.

That's not great but it's nothing to get insulted over especially if your wages aren't like IGYbags'.

Diomedes

He gets touchy about how hard he works at the company where Daddy is President, so I'm guessing it's more than 40 hours a week.  I'd guess 55 or so.

I'm surprised the company bother to tell him they are tracking his computer activity.  Most just do it without telling you.

As is their right, btw.

Hence, I don't work for folks like that.

$2.40/hour is definitely something to get insulted over whereas $2.50/hour isn't.

People aren't giving out raises these days, so actually getting one is a fairly big deal.  Again, not for everyone, but for a lot of us an extra $5,000/year would be fantastic.

Geowhizzer

I don't believe I've gotten $5K in raises in the last decade.

Rome

The only way for us to get raises is to be promoted.  We had a 3% COLA two years ago and that was it since 2007.  We also had money taken from us by Rick Scott for his feeble-minded retirement scheme and then the 2% SSI break expired.  So basically unless you've gotten a promotion you're actually making less now than 2007.  Which is nice.

I may be right there with you.  I was hit by Scott's COLA as well, and with the State Supreme Court upholding it, I wouldn't be surprised if they go for an addition hit on our pay.

I encourage you Florida people to quit your jobs and go on the dole.  Stop paying your mortgages, convert all of your assets to cash, and when they finally kick you out for not paying...move back north to Civilization again.

LOL at "feeble-minded," perfect phrasing for that man.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

Diomedes

Well if you don't get settle for MD...skip PA and NJ until you get further north.

after taxes its like a tank of gas a week...certainly a nice little get....but for someone who works his ass off for more than 40 hrs a week doesnt get overtime took the responsibilities of another full time position which was never filled opening up a salaries worth of payroll its a complete and utter insult to get offered that and only get it offered if its attached to an accusation of being untrustworthy as a person and an employee

First, does the computer they want to install this software on belong to the computer? If so, I'm surprised they don't already do it, it's not abnormal.

That being said, if they only apply the monitoring to you, you may have an HR complaint.
