For what it's worth, I'm in the heart of corporate hell, where the profit motive drives the company to do deeply immoral things, and they still can't manage to be halfway intelligent.  Big government, big business..it's all the same.

I dig what you and Sus are saying.  Still, I made the following quote in huge letters as my wallpaper and screensaver:

"In any moment of decision, the best thing you can
do is the right thing. The worst thing you can do is
nothing. "

Maybe you should put up one like this:

This is mine:

I just printed this and tacked it up outside our conference rooms.  I then took an hour walk out in the city.  No one noticed.

That one reminds me of this one:

I love that site.

No one noticed the new wall hangings, or no one noticed your absence?  Or both?

My absence.  Surprisingly, the wall hangings are still there.  One guy who saw me put them up came and asked me what they meant because he didn't get it.  Sadly, sometimes reality is more of a joke than any form of fictional entertainment.

That's priceless.  What did you tell him?

Nothing really.  I just looked at him and he started laughing and said he has been working here too long.  We then started talking about how you would get the same job rating here if you were in coma or if you had discovered the secret to world peace and alternative energy.  I have a meeting at 10AM and I'm interested to see if I get any comments.

No, just stood around and pulled each others puds then off to the bathroom for a quickie.  You know, the usual.

Hey, it all pays the same, anyway.

Saw a guest reading this thread.  Thought I'd say that I'm down to 85 work days left before I resign.  I've been counting down since 232.

March 15, 07 my bonus pays and I give my notice.  End of that March, or possibly end of April, I move to Baltimore.

Can't wait to quit this place.

You started looking for jobs yet?  Given the area that you're moving to I'm sure you could gain employment on one of the many government/military facilities in the surrounding area.  I think it'd be a good fit for you.
