That's the link.

Looks fake to me. Probably their version of Gary Papa.

*Sigh*

Yep, it looks that way. I thought it might be fake as well, but if you go to the home page http://www.klbk.com/ and click on the sports link to the left, it shows the article in its original format.

I kind of figured it would happen, but I held out hope that it wouldn't. I hope they really know what they're getting themselves into. I guess all I can do is hope for the best.

The BIGSTUD

I don't really mean fake, like a hacker did it. I mean it doesn't look credible yet.
Calling it right on the $ since day one.
Just pointing laughing, and living it up while watching the Miami Heat stink it up.

Not so fast...

REPORT OF T.O. SIGNING IS "BOGUS"

Reports originating from a Lubbock, Texas television station that receiver Terrell Owens has signed with the Cowboys are "bogus," a league source with knowledge of the situation tells us.

KLBK 13 says that sources with the Cowboys have told the station that Owens already has been signed, and that the move will be announced on Monday.

On one hand, we could envision the Cowboys intentionally leaking misinformation in order to scare off other potential suitors while owner Jerry Jones wraps up a vacation.  On the other hand, why in the hell would the leak be made to a television station in Lubbock?

Bottom line -- there's no deal, and the reports are erroneous.

I know what you're saying. Lubbock's a good piece from the DFW area, and I didn't see anything on that area's CBS affiliate. Usually they share news between affiliates fairly quickly, and this one usually gets any breaking news as fast as any of them. No mention at all. http://www.cbs11tv.com/sports

I think it's just a matter of postponing the inevitable, though.

I agree, and at this point I think he's almost out of options.

EJ72

Now ESPNews has Owens denying the report of his signing, so that's that for now.

"A source close to Terrell Owens is denying broadcast reports out of Lubbock Texas that he has signed with the Cowboys." Or something to that effect.

The BIGSTUD

You are right about not wanting TO though.

We were naive enough to think he'd change by coming here, but we never really found out just how bad TO was until he came here. The smallest of things set TO off. Things so small you won't even believe what TO will get angry over. He's just so insecure it's laughable.

Proof that he's already signed the contract and is demanding a new one.

The man. The myth. The legend.

Dallas's offensive coordinator doesn't say 'hello' to his players.

(BTW, who took over as OC for the Cowboys when Payton left?)

I was one of the ones that was 95% sure it was only a matter of time before he showed his colors. Gave him credit when he came back for the SB and said well, you never can tell.

Then all he put your team through? I ended up with the utmost respect for how the Eagles handled it. I honestly don't think it could have been handled much better.

The ironic thing is, we just got rid of a disruptive sulker in Antonio Bryant in 2004. I didn't think there was any way they would bring someone else (Even worse) in, but maybe with Parcells close to retiring, Jones feels the window may be closing a little before it's even all the way open.

There isn't anyone with the job. Carthon was the last to actually have the offensive coordinator title in '04, but he was more involved with the running game with Payton working on the passing game and doing some playcalling.

This year Parcells is supposed to call the plays, Todd Haley works with the passing game and Tony Sparano works with the running game.

GF, I think there's going to be delay of at least a week before he wants the new contract. I don't think the first one's been signed yet because Jerry is going to take the weekend to read Faust and brush up on making deals with the devil and how to squirm out of them.

On a lighter note, I came across this Brandon Lloyd highlight. NFC East beware!
