In other words they'll get the Padres in the first round.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.

I doubt they sell out. Seriously, people really don't like this team.

Nah, they'll sell out.

And we'll hear the same people on WIP saying how they were on the wagon all year long that were blasting the team all season long.

I liked Fitzpatrick's little column in the Inky today. He ripped the fans for not supportng the team throughout this stretch.

I hate management and I dislike some of the players, but I'll wait to rip them until after the season is over. Other than Lieby and Bell and Wade, that is. But I still support the team and have done so all year long.  I catch shtein for it at work from two guys who are Eskin lapdawgs. I copied Fitzpatricks article and put it on their desks for them to see.

I hope they make the playoffs just so I can rub it in their faces.

I listended to WIP for the first time in awhile yesterday, and too many were calling up talking about how they didn't like the team and how the players were unrelatable and they just couldn't get behind them like the Eagles of recent years and the 01 Sixers.

Not to mention, cheapest tickets are 30 bucks. Do the Phillies think people are gonna be waiting in line for days for these things? Image problem......
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Burger King says the Phils will buy out Wade's contract if they miss the playoffs and will go after Brian Cashman....

Yeah, like Cashman would ever take a job where his payroll expenditures would not only be less but likely much less than the figure is this year.   :-D

The Phillies are going to start cutting payroll now that the Bank is no longer filled.

It's a self-fufilling prophecy.  Until they get owners with deep pockets who are more concerned with excellence on the field than dollars in the till, they'll never win a damn thing.

he also went for the super reach by suggesting maybe with a new GM that Lou Pinella might want to come here.
I'm the Anti-Christ. You got me in a vendetta kind of mood.

Pinella would be interesting on the field.  In the front office?  Not so much.

Of course, Uncle Cholly's produced a juggernaut on the field, so there'd be no way they send him packing.   :-D

yeah, he was talking about him as the manager.  can you imagine that?  if the players didn't like Bowa, how are they gonna react to Pinella

If Sweet Lou was the manager here the players heads would explode. Seriously.

Oh my...Harry just mentioned Ricky Otero on the air. :-D

And I'm not sold on Cashman. But if I had to choose between him and Wade...duh.

Braves losing to Marlins :paranoid

By the way...if the Phils end up tied with the Braves the one-game playoff would be here in Philly.

So do we root for them to make the playoffs or not?  On one hand, if they miss then Wade's gone.  On the other hand, this is the first time since 93 the Phils have played meaningful ball this late in the year and I'd hate to see it come to an end.

Geowhizzer

Unfortunately, I don't think that Wade is going anywhere in either case.  :boom

PhillyPhreak54

Root for the playoffs. Like I've said all year (remember Wade was supposed to be fired before Memorial Day?) hate on the GM but root for the team because Monty is not a lock to fire him no matter if they make it or not.

Reds score.

3-1
