we seem to ask that question every year. I never can remember. So for the sake of making a rule that we can remember lets just make it the final standings after the playoffs are over.

I thought that's how it went any way.  Winner get's last pick, runner up 2nd to last, etc etc.  And then once the playoff teams have their draft position determined then the remaining teams get their position assigned based on regular season record/tie breakers.  That's basically how the NFL does it, right?

MURP

well if thats how we were doing it then its gonna stay that way.

Well the playoff standings work just as long as the teams in the loser's playoff don't tank it intentionally to get a better pick...

Is there a "loser playoffs"?  I thought that once the playoffs began, those who aren't included are done for the year and their records at that time will dictate their draft position for next year.  I can't log on to Yahoo at work to see the current standings so I'll just use an example......

Regular Season Final Standings
1  Team A*
2  Team B*
3  Team C*
4  Team D*
5  Team E
6  Team F
7  Team G
8  Team H

Team A, B, C, D are playoff teams.  Playoff results are
Team A = Champion
Team C = Runner Up
Team B and D = Eliminated in first round.

Going by that particular scenerio, next year's draft pick positions would go as follows:

1.  Team H
2.  Team G
3.  Team F
4.  Team E
5.  Team D
6.  Team B
7.  Team C
8   Team A

Is that the way it's going to happen or is there a different format being used?  Because unless I'm just missing something in the conversation, it seems like there's a different method being used to determine draft positions.

I think last year we went by playoff results.....but what Sarge has proposed I think is the best solution.

So when can I post my keepers and move on to next year?

ok, the sarge draft plan works.

you can post your keepers whenever you want, but they are not due until closer to the beggining of summer.

The important thing is to note the end of regular season standings/point totals before the playoffs start.  That way we know what draft order to assign to those who don't get in the playoffs but don't use their end of season totals since we do the playoffs seperate from the Yahoo schedule.  Comprende?  :)

As soon as the season ends, those whom suck to much to make the playoffs can post their final rosters.

Sgt PSN

You might as well just post yours now then.

Sure thing.  It'll probably be later on this week.  I can't get onto Yahoo at work and I've had a lot going on at home the last few days.  But it'll be done by the weekend.  :)

Sgt PSN

I posted the draft order for next year in the offseason thread.  :)
