Their starting pitching certainly is better.  Oswalt, Clemens & Pettitte in a seven game series??  Forget it.

If they hit even modestly, they could easily win the pennant and eventually the Series.

besides, wagner told us not to boo.

bell may have errored (not defending bell), but there was 2 outs, and wagner gave up hits to the next two batters to put the nail in the coffin.

1. Taveras was out on that play. And he hit a soft roller that anyone else would've been out by a mile on. Its not like he gave up a line shot there. The guy made contact.

2. Biggio doesn't come up if Davina Bell fields the ball.

I do not understand the angst (not you) towards Wagner. WIP is ripping him. Other Phils fans on other MBs rip him. Why? The guy didn't blow a save since May 24th until last night! He is the least of this teams problems.

Crackhead Rhea cries because "he rips the fans for booing". Hogwash. He's outspoken and right. And for a city who likes to talk tough some folks sure get thin skin when the athletes shoot back.

Phreak... he's gagged it up twice in two nights in the most important games of the season.

Wagner served up the tater, not David Bell.  Does Bell suck?  Yes.  But his teammate could have bailed him out.  Unfortuately for them and all of us, he didn't, so here we are.

It doesn't matter anyway.  That team is the most heartless, gutless bunch of candyasses I've ever seen.  They have talent out the kazoo yet somehow they always find a way to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

The entire organization needs a complete overhaul.  Ownership, management and players all share in the the yearly freefall in September so blaming Bell or Wagner or any other single player for the failings of an entire organization is pointless at best.

I am not saying Wags shouldn't be ripped for giving up the bomb to Biggio. But my point is if that stinky vadge Bell fields the ball...no discussion at all. And if Todd Pratt can actually throw a guy out (he had TWO shots at Bruntlett)..no discussion.

He's be money all year long except for the last two nights and a few times early in the year. Every closers gets victimized here and there except for Gagne's amazing streak awhile ago. Last night was Wags turn to give one up. But it should've never gotten to that point because that farging loser should've made the goddamn play.

We should also be talking about the other dumbshtein...Bill Dancy. He got Bell hosed by 47 feet on Victorino's single. That guy farging blows too. Dancy & Bell...losers.

phillies fans are outright frontrunners. everyone knows and sees that. and i think it's deserved, the team (not the players, the organization) put this on themselves.

last night, the lost the game in the 8th. bases loaded 1 out, and only score one. the first force at home was the killer. no one on this team can be a situational hitter. i dont even remember who it was that grounded to 1st. but a fly to right scores 1 and moves a guy to third.

and then that farghead dancy who sends bell on a single from second (the same farghead who doesnt send kada on the double two nights ago.

any good baseball team ends that inning with at least 2 runs scored
