Wheeler & Anderson were discussing Chase tonight and actually made a good point.  He's never played a full six month season and playing 4 1/2 or 5 months of baseball is entirely different in their opinion.

It sounded like they were making excuses for his pretty substantial tail-off but you never know.  Maybe the kid could use a couple days off to clear his head and get back in the game?

They're all pressing now because the heat's definitely on.  That's why they're choking.  Any team can run off 10 straight wins in June but the really good ones turn it on in September.

The bottom line is if they don't make it to the playoffs, the core of the team has to be broken apart.

That will mean five more years of rebuilding and failed promises from the cocksmokers who own and run the team.

PS: I don't know if I want Wagner at $8M per year.  Urbina would come cheaper (even though he's a choker himself) and they could use the dough to get a legitimate ace.

He's hitting .230 since July 31st.

And although I love him and Howard, both have come up empty the last two nights despite Howard going oppo off of Oswalt. And Abreu's run production is down. And one of the reasons is because James Calvin Rollins isn't getting on base.

I was close to suicide last night.

Oh, and someone tell Todd Pratt that there is no pump-faking in baseball. THROW THE FARGING BALL YOU VADGE!

And his two swings off of Lidge were worse than Endy's last night. Endy made contact...Pratt swings at a 57ft slider and looks like a dope.
