It was empty for sure.

I looked like a night game in April when it is 40 degrees out.

QuoteWith the NFC champion Philadelphia Eagles down in Atlanta to open their season, only about 15,000 fans were in their seats for the first pitch. The announced crowd of 21,169 was the smallest at home for the Phillies this season.

That's because baseball eats monkey feces. And likes it.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.

If Houston wins, they retake the WC lead and the Phils would be tied with Florida at .5 back....

So then if Philly wins tom and Florida wins tom....Philly and Florida would be .5 game up...then a sweep of the Braves and a Houston win = Philly all alone at the top of the WC standings..

Yes.....but a 4-game sweep of the Braves?

MDS

Sure why not. Were not losing another game. Evaaaar.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

2-0 Phils.  Floyd pitching a shutout.

Ha!  I just jinxed it.  Watch.

So predictable at this point.  You can smell the suckage 400 miles away.

Eagles_Legendz

4-4.  Should be an interesting last 4 innings.

Geowhizzer

5-4.  Showing at little spunk against Atlanta.

Liebs got the benefit of a bad call on that throw to 2nd, though.  The base stealer was safe.  :-D

Eagles_Legendz

Yep, but Rollins was safe the next inning on that bunt, so I suppose it evened out.

MDS

Who cares. Loserthal threw our his first runner in six years.

Come on... Lieberthal has thrown out a whopping 21.7% of would-be base-stealers (15 of 69).  :D

BTW- Pratt is 32% (8 of 25).

MDS

And somehow were right there in the WC race  ???

OK, how many of you were holding your breath when Bell had to make the last play of the game?  :-X
