Well I'm kind of glad that I got that VW Diesel where I get 47 miles to the gallon. There are a few kits out there where I could run the car on veggy oil. If things get too bad I might start hitting up restaurants for used fryer oil.

Which is why I think we need to bring your car to KC for the roadtrip!!
The drawback to marital longevity is your wife always knows when you're really interested in her and when you're just trying to bury it.

Plus it makes your exhaust smell like egg rolls.  A distinct advantage.

hey sarge, i'm flying into wilmington nc next week then renting a car, what are prices like down your area right now?

Right now they are in the $2.75/gallon range but I'm certain they'll be up near $3.00/gallon by the end of the day.  Some of the smaller "mom and pop" gas stations around here are already out of gas.

I'm glad I filled up Monday night when gas was only $2.42 a gallon. Only $2.42... sheesh. And Saturn's get really great gas mileage (thank God) which is a huge money saver.

It's $2.75 on base but $3.18 out in town right now and prices are expected to go up by the end of the day.  :-\

Here's a site to try to find the best prices in your area. They keep changing, but some of these sites are updated hourly:

Sure thing man.  If there's anything else you need (smokes, booze, etc) get it on base.  It's a little cheaper and tax free.  :)

BlueHeart

$3.72 this morning when I hit the gas station. That was the cheapest one I found in a two-town area. I really wish I would've stopped a couple of nights ago and filled up instead of going "ahhh... it's not like I need it right this second. I'll get it tomorrow"... two days in a row.

How sad that finding a gas price that started with a 2 would've given me joy.

Saw on CNN that Atlanta is looking at $6 a gallon. That's f'n ridiculous.
Maybe the voices aren't real, but, they've got some pretty good ideas...

Wingspan

here they have $45/gallon.

insane.

i saw some guy riding a bear to work.
