here is Gauthier's hit on Straka vs. the Rangers....the NY Rangers stats people did not credit Gauthier with a SINGLE HIT in this game. He must have knocked 3-4 guys to the ice in the first period alone. Pathetic excuse for statkeeping.

Rangers just won in OT at Boston.  5 pts back again....

PoopyfaceMcGee

I don't care what any other teams are doing as long as the Flyers are peaking.

BigEd76

Flyers down 2-0 in the 1st intermission.  2 Toronto PPGs...

Gautier given a 5MM and game misconduct. He's out for knocking the shtein out of Wellman (?) into the boards and drawing blood.

Usual stuff. Good road win, lay down at home the next night. Ha.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Esche = playoff starter

and I didn't expect a win tonight on back to back nights without Nedved and Forsberg playing.

Is it just me or should Hitch pick a fricken horse to ride and stick with him from here on out?

All this wishy-washy crap is making my head hurt.

On back to back nights, I'm fine with him using Nitty tonight....he's also still trying to figure out (although this game might have sealed it) who the starter is going to be for the playoffs.

I think it should be Esche, personally.

Also - did anyone else check out the upcoming schedule of games lately?

The Flyers play at New Jersey on the 13th and then play them at New Jersey again three days later on the 16th.

Talk about strange.

PhillyGirl

I agree it should be Esche....I've said it all along. He's playoff tested and has shown, during the past few weeks, to be the reliable goalie when the team needed him. Nitty isn't ready.

Didn't see that on the schedule, but that's a hell of a way to get battle tested for the playoffs right there. Its almost like 2 home games, considering there will be more Flyers fans there than Devils fans.  ;)

ice grillin you

as ive said from day one neither goalie is capable of carrying a team in the playoffs....this team is one round and done in the postseason

its just absolutely mind boggling how they could have gone 15 years without a legitimate stanley cup goaltender....its one of the great mysteries in all of sports
i can take a phrase thats rarely heard...flip it....now its a daily word

igy gettin it done like warrick

im the board pharmacist....always one step above yous
