i know i know, i was just making fun of myself. :deion

Sounds like my draft this year.

Picking Moss first... stupid, stupid, stupid rookie mistakes.  :boom

My team stinks.  :-D

rjs246

I don't care how good they are. Picking a WR in the first round is fantasy suicide.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.

As a first time Fantasy Footballer, I guess I'll have to learn the lesson the hard way.

MURP

really depends on what RB's you have.  If you can get a steal in there you should be ok.

Zanshin

Just made a trade.  On the surface, I think it favors the other guy...but it helps my team in three areas and I didn't lose anything major.

I traded Ronnie Brown, Jermaine Wiggins and LaBrandon Toefield for Alge Crumpler, Jason Elam and Keith Bulluck.  I was going to have to drop some guys to get a kicker and a D player anyway, so I thought I could get higher quality guys this way.  I'm stocked at RB, and I was really wondering if I'd ever feel great about starting Brown behind that O line, with those QBs and with Williams waiting in the wings.

What do you think?

rjs246

I don't think that trade favors the other guy at all. Assuming you aren't crippling yourself with whoever you have to drop.

I don't have to drop anyone now....because of the trade.

So now my starting lineup will look something like:

QB: Jake Plummer
RB: Shaun Alexander
RB: JJ Arrington (or D. Foster)
WR: Randy Moss
WR: Torry Holt
W/R: Cadillac Williams
TE: Alge Crumpler
K: Jason Elam
DEF: Baltimore
D: Donnie Edwards
D: Demarcus Ware
D: Brian Urlacher
D: Keith Bulluck

I can live with that.

Were you wearing a ski mask and holding the dude at gunpoint when you robbed him?  Ronnie Brown is kind of an x factor but you just aquired one of the top fantasy tight ends, kickers and defensive players out there.  Crumpler is Vick's primary target, especially near the red zone.  Elam is one of the most consistant kickers in the league and Bulluck I think was the 2nd highest point producer for fantasy football defensive players behind Donnie Edwards.

Well played sir.  :yay

Why do you start a Team Defense and Individual Defensive Players?

Zanshin

Because that's the way the league is set up.  I'd be a fool not to.

Sgt PSN

So if, for example, you had the Eagles defense and Lito Sheppard and Lito returned an interception for a TD you would get double the points?

Now, everyone can make fun of my team for a change.  12-team league.  Friend of mine needed someone to fill in their draft, so I agreed.  I took some flyers and reached on purpose to avoid having people in common with other teams.

I'm probably going to try to trade a RB for a WR.  Anderson's starting in week 1 (@MIA) for me, but probably won't very often.  I took McGahee with the 4th pick, with Priest Holmes and Shaun Alexander still on the board.  Ha.
