you need to gamble more. those rates are pretty steep for midweek...mine are all free even on summer weekends.

i'm not very picky about hotels but i stayed at imperial palace one night like 5 years ago and there were blood stains all over the bathroom floor.

Yes, yes I do. Unfortunately school saps me of most of my time and money during the fall.

Tax refunds to the rescue in the coming weeks :yay

Prob hitting up AC towards the end of the month. My boy basically lived down there this summer in an attempt to become a Diamond Club member....of course they switched their thing around over the summer and now "7 stars" is the top bracket.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

7 Stars has been the top bracket for a long time...but they didn't make it widely known. I can only imagine how much would have to be gambled to get there.

Munson

Really? I thought it was a new addition this past spring/summer?

I just never saw any "7 star" clubs when I used to walk around Harrah's AC, just always the "Diamond Club" shtein.

I def need to start gambling more though...I'm still Gold and you have to acquire 4,000 tier points in a year to get Platinum status.

IP is a cool spot to gamble sometimes but you'd have to pay me to stay there.

I'd love to get some MGM offers worth a shtein. I didn't play much on their properties last trip and the offers on the new mLife players club are underwhelming. But then I read about people who spend less get 3 nights at the Mirage. No rhyme or reason on how they're comping right now.

Caesar's (harrahs) are pretty liberal with room comps. I'm free at all except Caesars.

Munson

The only thing I remember about Imperial Palace is that bar right on the strip underneath of it with the hot ass dancing girl in the front just grinding on dudes to get them to come in.

Yeah, they have Harrah's, Bally's, Paris, and a few other mid/low class places on the strip, so supply > demand for sure. Is Cosmo affiliated with any other properties?

Also, I've been jonesing for some craps action. I may need to hit A/C first weekend in March, or at least Philly Park or some shtein. I've been playing around online but it's just not nearly as much fun.

Well, MGM has NYNY, MGM, Monte Carlo, Excalibur, Mandalay, Luxor and Mirage and they're not as liberal with the rooms. So trying to guess how and why they give offers out is hard. Best bet is usually to check with the host on duty before you check out to see if they comp anything then (if not getting comps up front).

Venetian and Palazzo just pretty much ended their comps for everyone except the high rollers.

Cosmo is not affiliated with anyone (but I believe you can use Marriott points to get rooms). Their comps system, and I hope it lasts, is you get points for everything you buy in the hotel and casino; from rooms down to gift shop crap and food.

Parx Casino... An ok place to lose some money, or a place one is likely to get shanked?

SD

An okay place to lose some money. I live 5 minutes from there.

PoopyfaceMcGee

Nice. I may try to hit it up tomorrow at some point.

Munson

I was in AC last night and a lot of folks were talking about Parx...heard good things.

Then saw a billboard on the expressway back that said "The Situation: Live! At Parx"

Day or night? Some of the waitresses are hot as shtein and there's a club in there called 360 that gets packed. Mostly an older crowd but not a bad place to hang. $10 cover charge. The head bartenders name is Ace, he's an old friend of mine, he works at the main bar located in the center of the casino. Don't bother name droppin and trying to get him to hook you up, they're monitored like crazy and a couple people have gotten fired from there for hooking their buddies/girls up.
There's also a Chickie and Petes inside there but it doesn't look or feel like a C N P.
