yeah man its great.  We went there for my parents 25th anniversary with 22 other people.  I have some pics on my FB profile you can see what it looked like.  It's beautiful, we stayed on property pretty much the whole time outside of hiking up the state park next to the resort.  You get some great views up there, and its a good hike if you and the wifey want a little workout.  I'd recommend doing the Scuba class on the 2nd or 3rd day, get your certification if you dont already have it, and go out.  The snorkeling trips are good too.

If you want some drugs, talk to Moonlight, he sells shells with gifts inside them.  Food wise its what you'd expect for a Sandals.  Good food, the pub is a fun hangout, and the italian food place is pretty good too.  Definitely sign up to be a Signature Guest if you havent already, its free and worth the 5 minutes.  You'll get exclusive deals for other trips, and you will get points for each trip that go towards extra days your next trip.  In addition you get special treatment when it comes to checkin and a special dinner that is off the charts good.  Pm me if you have questions man, its a good setup down there.  One thing though about St Lucia, the # 1 crime on the island is Rape, so just be weary of where you go, as most of the islands are down there.

Cool...

I didn't sign up for Harrah's Total Rewards because I didn't play much in any of their spots. I only shot craps for a few rolls before two french dudes farged the table up by being jerks. Then I left and went to Casino Royale.

I signed up for Mirage/MGM and Casino Royale's clubs. Not that I would want to stay at CR.

I've been reading a lot of good reviews on Bill's Gamblin Hall, which is part of Harrah's, I think. I don't think I would want to stay there either.

It seems like Royale, Bill's and Imperial Palace all fall into the same category.

Treasure Island looks like a decent spot to stay. I think that is where we'll stay when we go next month.

Treasure Island is definitely awesome. The rooms were real nice, the casino is pretty cool, and the swimming pool was the shtein. Of course I was there when it was 103 degrees everyday so spending 6 hours in the pool was a good idea. I wasn't a big fan of the food they had available there, but that's mostly because I'm a wings/burgers guy and they wanted an arm and a leg for an order of 8 wings at some places. They've got a nightclub/bar type place in the hotel that is free cover for hotel guests, Christian Audiger. It's got a pretty good set up with an outdoor part that overlooks the strip, but the night we went it was like a wednesday and it was pretty empty. But it was also early. There's a smaller lounge bar called The Mist that was okay, had a pong table and some couches and such. I had a Gin Mint drink there and it was delicious. There's also a Kahunaville bar and restaurant.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

PhillyPhreak54

Good stuff, thanks.

We went there to eat at The Buffet and gamble a bit. But I wondered how the rooms were. Mirage's prices have gone up a bit and TI is a tad lower so I may just stay there

I'm going to Sandals Negril at the end of March. If I would have chosen St. Lucia instead, and I ran into you there, I might have shteined myself.

The rooms were definitely nice, but pretty much the only I problem I had with them was the lack of mini-fridges. Now I don't know if that's hotel wide or that was just the kind of rooms we had, but the lack of a mini-fridge sucked. There was a free ice machine on the floor but it was still a pain in the ass.

That doesn't matter much to me. Mirage had one, but it was stocked with the shtein that's expensive to take out of there - so I didn't touch it.

PhillyPhreak54

Booked the second trip today. 4 nights/5 days at the beginning of March. We ended up at The Mirage again. I looked at deals at Palazzo, Venetian, Mirage, TI and Paris and decided to go with Mirage again because we liked it so much the first time.

I can't wait to shoot craps again

I guess I've come a long way since the caution tape, huh?

rjs246

I'm fairly certain that marriage is not a sign of maturity so don't worry, you're still a lunatic.

Oddly enough, that makes me feel good.
