Ha. Like you would remove the guy who owned the regular season. I'm the Eagles of the league, baby. You need me.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

we may have to totally adjust the leagues this year if so many people want in.   All i know is that im running a live draft this year via Yahoo.

How do you guys currently do it? AFC/NFC? Divisions? How many teams?

last year it was NFC/AFC,  12 teams in each.   Champion from each division played in week 16 for Superbowl.

12 teams was about as high as I would go, just not enough players after that.   More divisions would make the playoffs even longer which isnt any fun.  We need some ideas if people that many people are going to want in.

I'm running a live draft as well.  Last year was farging ridiculous.

Thank the Lord for that.  Last year's board draft was tedious for all, especially the ones in charge.

Whatever draft I helped run last year went as smooth as could be. You guys obviously need to tighten up.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

I think one way to narrow down the field of participants is to kick all the people who don't check their team at least once a week to the curb.  It's ten times more fun if you have an active league, even if your team blows more than Art blows Gibbs.

well, that doesnt help in the middle of the season.

If there is a live draft I probably won't be able to do it until after August 12 or 13. So if you want to weed me out, put the draft for sometime before that.

I'm running the draft (and the league generally) like Hitler this year.  I decide who's in and who isn't, and I don't give a farg what anyone says.  Last year sucked.

If you don't like it, don't play.  Or start your own goddamned league.

Susquehanna Birder

I had that happen last year in my Yahoo league. About halfway through the season, maybe half of the participants stopped checking. It made for easy wins (I won the league), but it was pretty stupid.

I like the idea of kicking inactive people and throwing all the kicked players back into the FA pool. It's frustrating to see some decent players squandered on crappy, inactive teams.

Im playing with a couple ideas that will drastically alter the league, but make it more interesting.   #1 would be to have more starting players and less bench players.  Making league add/drops more important and more frequent.  Also having less players overall per team which wont have us starting Reno Mahe at some point.    Maybe also switching to a points only league, although that takes the battles out.
