so i have to buy a special adapter for my xbox to hook it up to my wireless network?  it's not just a regular wireless card?

i got suckered into buying the xbox wireless adaptor - laziness or just lack of imagination on my part at the time.  That being said  - it has worked perfect from the time of purchase on.

So I was doing some reading around, and I remebered how the Halo movie got stalled....so I sort of expected the same thing for the Gears movie, but it is apparently still progressing. They wanna have it out by Summer 2010 but I doubt it gets done that soon.

I just hope they don't farg it up.

Yeah, the official wireless adapter works well...but it's overpriced. I think it's like $99 or something. If you need to be wireless and have the money, that's the way to go.  If you need to go wireless, but don't have the $99, I recently saw a gaming wireless ethernet bridge on Buy.com for $20 that does the trick.  Just a matter of cost.  One looks nicer and is powered by the xbox, the other is cheaper, but bigger and needs an external power source. Either will work and have about the same range.
