rented the warriors. pretty sweet so far. alot like GTA, but a strict storyline.  more hand to hand combat, pretty gruesome fights.  so apparently this was a cult flm in the 70's? anyone ever see it?

You never saw The Warriors?!  :o

i tried to watch a little of it on Spike a couple months back.  it was too corny for my liking.

Microsoft says yes, but they are lying.

In order to play an XBOX game, you have to have the 360 hard drive.  As I understand it, what you do is load the legacy game into the HD, then a program essentially emulates the game based on the load file.  Or somthing like this.  I hear the performance sucks when you do this..worse than the regular XBOX, and it's not possible for all games.

Man, if I just dropped a wad of cash on a 360, that would piss me off.

that's why i won't buy PS3 until a couple of months after it comes out.  when I got PS2, i never wanted to play my original PS games anyway.

I finally got Oblivion installed and running. My two biggest complaints from Morrowind are gone, the reading and the dreary landscape. I only got through the character creation sewer before it crashed, but I'm enjoying it.

My character looks exactly like that. I finally got the full set of daedric armor. It's one badass set. Looks cooler than anything that was in Morrowind IMO.

My character is currently a level 31 imperial.

I didn't play the last 2 days as much as I did the previous week though.

It's a better game overall than Morrowind. It just feels a whole lot bigger, but there are a few complaints I have that you should brace yourself for:

1. There is an annoying little thing where if you are on any type of slope, you aren't able to jump. This has caused me to get stuck in certain spots where I had to load up a save from about 10 minutes before. Good thing I save an awful lot. You'll see what I mean. Jump to a hill or something that is on a slope, and try to jump. You won't be able to a lot of the time.

2. There are not as many unique weapons in this game. There are randomized customizations of certain weapons, that enemies drop, but there are not as many unique weapons in this game as were in Morrowind. Morrowind also had a lot of non-quest items that were placed to find on your own explorations, which very few of are in Oblivion.

3. You can't kill quest required characters. Sure it's good if you are an idiot and accidentally kill one, but even in Morrowind, it tells you that you killed a character that you would need for the main quest. The cool thing about The Elder Scrolls games, are that you have the freedom to play how you want. However, in this you can't kill quest characters. Just knock them out temporarily. Good thing very few quest characters have great stuff or I would be so tempted to kill them and take their equips.

4. Certain equipment sets aren't available until you reach certain levels. Yes, it makes the game more challenging because you can't get a dominant weapon until later in the game, but at the same time it took away from the freedom factor that Morrowind had IMO. Even though it may make the game a little easier, if you are a good thief, you should be able to snatch a daedric claymore at level 3 if you want to. Instead, high level equips aren't available until you reach high levels. Overall though Oblivion is a better and prettier game than Morrowind.

Also a few things of note. Bandits and enemies in caves dungeons respawn after every few days, and there are already a few exploit glitches that people have found that I'm going to try once I get a little further.

I'll post them if you want. One is an item duplication glitch, and the other is an infinite money glitch. I'm not using them until I get a lot farther, but if you'd like to know them I can post them.
Calling it right on the $ since day one.

One thing thats really pissing me off is there is no Dates set for Madden or NCAA Football 2007 on 360.  EA had better not forget about those with the 360

Man, if I just dropped a wad of cash on a 360, that would piss me off.

I have found out that it is only a few games that came out about the same time, or slightly before the 360 release. When Madden '06 came out a I still had my old XBox, so I ran out and grabbed it. At the time there was a Madden 06 360 version. All of my old XBox games like Halo 2 still work fine, slightly better too.

The best thing yet for this thing I have play is Fight Night 3. If you have a 360, and don't have this game, go get it. Watching the spit, sweat, and blood fly in high def is almost the equivalent to renewing my German S&M scat porn membership.

Ghost Recon is also pretty sick, only just started playing it, hard as hell, but good stuff so far. I'll post more about it after I play it for the next sixteen hours.

Fight Night is ridiculous, Ghost Recon is awsome if you like that type of game.  I want EA to bring MLB06 out soon for the 360.
