so i finally finished a full season of madden 06.  eagles won the superbowl.

OK, was dickhead still on the roster at WR?  Near the end of last season I used to use the "real" lineup with McMahon, Moats, Brown, Wilbur, Jackson, etc.  Man was it ugly.

I traded dickhead when shtein hit the fan. I pretty much was playing along with the season.  I traded him to the texans for andre johnson. johnson is good, but not nearly as good as TO in madden. He tends to drop ALOT of passes.  I don't know how many wide-open bombs andre dropped for me.  To make matters worse/realistic, McNabb was injured pretty much every other game, little nagging injuries, kept him out 3 quarters, or 1 game or 3.  So McMahon got alot of action and was horrible, but better than real life.  I benched Pinkston, to keep it real with injury.  I also edited buckhlater;s injury rating to 5, so he basically got injured everytime he touched the ball in pre-season.  Once he finally got a bad enough injury, I put him on the IR. 
I created a few players and added a few to keep it as close as I could. 

I just sim'd an entire season, added draft class. Eagles had 20th pick  Recruited some nice LT's and DT's and Chad Greenaway at ROLB.  Went to draft and it auto drafted, so I got farged and spent all that time re-cruiting for nothing.  They took Chad Greenway in the first, but it took all the fun out of the draft so I re-sim'd another season.  About to do it all over again.

Looking for some feedback on '24' the game. IGN and a bunch of other sites gave it bad ratings, but all said if you're a big fan of the show then you might like it. Just want to know if it's worth my time or not.

So I went into Gamestop to see how much The Godfather was, which is only 39.99, as all PS2 games went down in price due to the future release of PS3, which now isn't until November.   

Anyway, rumor there is Madden 07 is the last Madden ever.  No more Madden football w/ his name on it.  Apparently EA, will continue to have a football game, but its going to be totally different and according to the guy workig there, 100x better.  I havn't looked anything up, but its kind of sad, yet exciting to see how the new game will be. Hold onto your old Madden games, they said they will be collectors pieces. HA! Too bad I gave pretty much all my old ones to friends.  Indian Giver!

i picked up Tom Clancys Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter for 360.  Its pretty sweet.  Good controls, i miss playing on the computer with all the modifications that were available.  I went to Gamestop last friday to pick it up and the guy told me The Godfather would be out for 360 on this past tuesday i thought he was kidding, well he gave me 10bucks towards its but got the date wrong by 5 months

It was clear that Madden would be sent packing the minute EA signed that monstrous deal with the NFL for exclusive rights.  As it is now, Madden get, for all intents and purposes, a cut of every game sold.  EA gave the NFL so much money that they can no longer afford to give Madden his cut.  It hurts their profit margin.  And since the exclusive deal prevents any serious competition, they know they can lose the icon and do just fine.

I'm never parting ways with Madden '98 for PSX. Best game of all time. You don't mess with Mike Zordich in that game.

if it's true, i'm glad that EA is going to re-vamp their football game.  i already decided that i wasn't going to buy this year's version because i got bored so early last year.

NCAA is a more fun game to play, IMO.

NCAA is the shtein, although it really doesn't have a hit stick.  the hit stick and truck stick in new madden is awesome.  but the ability to break tackles manually in NCAA is awesome. 
i used to hate the passing cone, but its very realistic and makes u better in new madden. and also precision passing is the shtein and really works.

things they can improve:

running backs running routes out of bounds. horrible.  they need to run better routes. 
catches on sidelines, have WR automatically sliding shoes, al the time when making a catch going out.  it has one, but they never do it when u need them too. 
goalline situations. RB NEEDS to have a dive button and actually make an attempt at diving over the pile.  vice versa for defense, otherwise its guaranteed TD. 
custom celebrations for TD's. i know this is gay, but come on!
for some reason this year its impossible to return punts.  i even went into sliders and took computer's punt length the whole way up, but still, its impossible to get a 10 yrd return if u don't manually take a block back with your returner
and like ncaa, have a possibility to break tackles manually. almost like freakin TECMO bowl.  tecmo is still the shtein.  hit a button when tangled up. on both sides of the ball.

I am dying to get that game.  Have you heard anything about 2K6?

My son is hooked on EAS March Madness.  Very cool soundtrack with the Grambling Band playing some great hits.  He's got the game down while I continue to get my ass whooped.  Dick Vitale is classic!
