Don Ho

Any one playing Tiger Woods 06 on PS2?  We just got it.  Any tips?  What's the best mode?

Glad to see you like it. I loved the game. What part are you at? There are certain tall mechanical enemies you fight with the rocket launcher that are a lot of fun to fight.

I'm stuck at that part right now. I can't find all the rockets. So far I've found 3 laying on the ground (two of my allies were killed) and have used the secondary weapon in each of my guns. Still can't take the second one down. I think I'm missing something.

*Edit* Forget it, I figured it out. There's an unlimited rocket supply at the opposite side of the plaza.

My favorite weapon in that game is the shotgun. It's so great.

Those sentinal things are fun to fight. Wait until you get to the final chapter though. You get the coolest weapon in FPS history. It's so fun to use. It sucks that there isn't a code to use it from chapter 1. It would inspire me to play it over again.

Guess you're talking about the magnet gun during the Benefactor level. I'm there now and this thing kicks ass. This is one of those games I don't want to end.

The BIGSTUD

The dark energy gravity gun or the gravity gun on roids is what I meant. I guess that's what you are talking about.

I thought you got it after the benefactor level. Guess I remember it wrong.

Same gun, I just use a different name.  It was great launching bodies with it.

Just finished it, cool ending. Great game.  I'll purchase the sequel once it's released.

I hated Ravenholm. That part of the game was crazy, and kinda of scary. Some of those guys were hard to bring down.

Ravenholm was a little weird but I felt the game picked up from that point on. Nothing beats the battles on the broken down streets. Only thing missing from this game IMO was a sniper rifle.

The BIGSTUD

I loved the part when you go back into the town, and fight those tall sentinal things. That was a lot of fun.

Also no one beats dog. He's unstoppable.

Dog was cool but they only showed him for a brief time near the end. (when he picks up that gate). I was hoping to see more of him launching cars at the combine.

What was your weapon of choice? I loved the shotgun. I also never used the pulse rifle because it ran out of ammo so quickly. That was my last resort weapon.

Same (shotgun) and the machine gun. I found myself using the .38 caliber pistol at times too. The pulse gun was sweet but it was very inaccurate. Did you get the Crossbow? I used it a couple times just to see what it could do.

Controlling the AntLion army with the Mother Ant's gland was also one of my favorite parts of the game.

The BIGSTUD

That was very cool, using the Antlions. They worked wonders in the prison. Throw them down long dark hallways and have them take out the guys around the corners.

I got the crossbow, yeah. It was cool. I would've preferred a sniper rifle, but it was cool. Something different at least.

I loved using the gravity gun to throw bricks at enemies. The buzzsaws were great too, cutting them in half.

Iff you ever have extra money laying around that you don't know what to use it on, buy a Gamecube with Metroid Prime 1 and 2. Different style FPS, but very fun. They have a little bit of an RPG/adventure aspect to it. You acquire different suit types, and weapon attachments, and solve puzzles to advance. The attachments are very cool, like different types of cannon types and also you get special attachments to your suit like superjump. If you played the original Metroids you'd understand what I mean. There are regular enemies, but you fight bosses in it as well. Those are a ton of fun to fight, and require strategy to beat, rather than just pumping ammo into them. Not your typical shooter, but a lot of fun. If you only like classic shooters, then I'd stay away, but they are both amazing games.

Just throwing it out there since you seem to enjoy FPS games.
