Preorders for the XBox One were terrible, so Microsoft decided to scap all their DRM ideas and will just go with whatever it is they do with the 360.

So I picked up a ps3 recently.  Looking at PS3's in general, its more like a PC than a gaming system.  The menus suck, but the gameplay is good.  Anyone familiar with some of the homebrew apps that are out there?  PSX Scene has links to the apps, but I'm having a hard time figuring out exactly what they all do.  http://psx-scene.com/forums/category/ps3-apps-48/

I am looking forward to that mode as a change of pace, if I pick it up. The NHL series is always fun and solid. So good, though, that I'm not sure I need to pick it up every year. I'm a sucker for Madden because of the roster updates, but I usually just play friends on NHL, so that's not as much of an issue.

On another note, I played Bioshock: Infinite a couple of weeks ago. It's not a long game, but it's fun and Bioshock-y. If you liked Bioshock, it's definitely worth checking out. I took it out of the library, which was perfect...because while it was fun to play, I'm not sure how much replay value there is, overall.

I'm holding off for now.  PS4 really seems to again have zesty offerings game wise at launch.  Continuing with their trend since the PS2.  I'll probably end up with the xbox One roughly around then SD.  The system not being backwards compatible really has me just prepared to play out COD Ghosts until the next COD comes out, then I'll upgrade. 

Speaking of that, I picked up Battlefield 4, and COD Ghosts.  Battlefield 4's campaign is short as can be, beat it in 4 hours.  Omar(Michael K Williams) is in it, all together good story just too short.  Online play is typical crazyness of Battlefield.  I'm not really a fan. 

Ghosts campaign was longer but still short I think by COD standards.  Cool story, good graphics, GUNS!.  Online play feels completely different than Blackops II.  I'm still getting used to it, but the K7 is badace

I might pick one up in March, only if it's a great deal, for my kid's birthday. But I'm certainly not in any rush to get one. Probably Xbox One, but we'll see how things shake out  I don't personally play as much as I used to, and when I do, it's usually sports games.

i haven't really been paying attention to these new consoles yet but this looks pretty insane. Also, i saw the new nba game and you can barely tell it's not live tv. may have to get one of these.

If you're getting an xbox, keep in mind you're paying an extra hundred dollars for a kinect that you won't be able to turn off.

i have the ps3. got it after my 3rd xbox 360 burned out. i have never had an issue with the ps3 plus it was a BR player which was an added bonus. to me theres not a noticable difference ... maybe cause i dont spend hours and hours playing to notice but whatever im not upgrading to either till i see all the bugs are worked out.

game wise right now im playing madden, need for speed and thanks to my 6yr legos marvel superheros. (which is actually good)

Just gonna stick with the XBox360 for as long as I cant.

I'm not picking up COD Ghosts either....I still enjoy Black Ops II, and didn't by MW3 either.
