i wonder how much you could've made by just camping out in line, and then selling your spot once the store announces that there are more people in line than the XBox's in the the store
A buddy of mine... a barber, turned a quick profit last week before they "officially" came out.  A guy comes into his shop last thursday, selling them for $300 a piece.  He took it home, played Madden for a night, and then sold it to his next-door neighbor the next day for $425.  He made a quick profit... and can still play it almost anytime he wants.

I've never been an XBox guy at all... never could really get used to the controls... but I'm just waiting for the PS3... and MGS4.  :yay

refresh my memory...when is PS3 coming out?  A buddy told me March of 06, but i thought it wasn't for another year?

they haven't announce an official date, i don't believe.  but Spring of 06 is the generally accepted window.

Mussa supposedly the PS3 is comin out in March but they've had circuitry problems leading the the board getting fried.  I think at the G4 show they could only turn it on for a minute or so before it would short out.  The other problem is the technology is the ps3 is only being developed for the ps3 and no other computers or applications yet making it very costly for the finished product.  I have read/heard that Gates is planning the Halo 3 launch whenever PS3 is launched  :-D

hmm.. you would think frying the main board would be something that is sorted out a few months before its release.  Havnt they been working on it for years now?  next gen hasnt lived up to the hype yet.

General_Failure

It never does. They show you in-game movies for months and people drool over them.

I'll probably get a 360 when it has some games I actually want to play.

The only problem is there's 200 games tthat are backward compatible but they all stink.  I want to play NCAA 2006 on 360 but they havent sent out the fix yet.

You hit the nail on the head, I just don't see the need to run and buy it for no good reason. There are still 3 or 4 games for the original Xbox I'd like to play (Matrix - Paths of Neo, Prince of Persia 3, Half Life 2)

I'm currently watching LSB play Perfect Dark on the plasma screen. Very nice, but the game itself is a little hokey. It still looks good, though.

Compared to the original XBox is it that much better or just a slight upgrade?

Susquehanna Birder

It's hard to say. This game doesn't look that much better, but based on some of the programming in it, I'm not surprised it's underwhelming.

MURP

and Perfect Dark is supposed to the best game right now for 360.

General_Failure

That's no big challenge. There's what, 16 of them?

MURP

yeah.  but  5, 10, 100 whatever it is.  If the "best of" the lot isnt that great.....

If that.

The only one I'm remotely interested in is Call Of Duty 2.
