If Sony can get their online stuff together as well as XBOX has, PS3 should blow the 360 away in every which way.

This Xbox 360 looks like a POS.  Could they have made it more complicated?  How did the executives at Microsoft come to the brilliant idea that the new system would not be backwards compatible without buying the external hard drive, blah blha blah.

I've been playing XBox exclusevely for two years or so now, but I won't be upgrading to this one.  When the PS3 comes out, I'll roll back to Sony.

I was watching a "critque" of the 360 on CNN yesterday and the tech guy said if you don't own an HDTV than the graphics aren't even an improvement.  I'm with you I switched to XBox about a year or two ago but i'm waiting for the PS3 or the new Nintendo system (every NES console game ever  :evil).

Nice rationale.

I was faintly aware of that 'world'. I remember reading or seeing something like that a while ago...probably a link from this board....but farging crazy!

I can't read the links because of the work firewall, but I think I know the gist of the slave article. LSB was interested in programming games, and I've passed on some general horror from what I've heard of the gaming industry. They treat the programmers like total crap.

I touched more on the fact of the element of 'farming' or 'farming for gold'....and how they sell this stuff for real $$$. Crazy. I didn't know how powerful these games have gotten and how badly these fargers want to win when playing that online shtein.

i wonder how much you could've made by just camping out in line, and then selling your spot once the store announces that there are more people in line than the XBox's in the the store

Its friggin awsome.  I dont have an HDTV yet but the graphics are smooth.  Takes a little getting used to with the new menu.  The wireless controllers are great and the best part is the power button on the controller  :yay

Well, he's been playing Perfect Dark almost non-stop, except to sleep and go to school. He seems to be enjoying it. He'd probably post about it, but his computer is farged (sounds like a HDD failure) and he's waiting for me to take care of it.
