I don't player either of them anymore, but the blocking in NCAA has always been way better. In Madden, screens are just guaranteed 3 yard losses or an incomplete fumble. In NCAA, they're actually screens.

New Bioschock trailer. I think this is a prequel and takes place pre-rapture, meaning no more underwater.

At the end of the second one they made it seem like the 3rd one was going to be above ground.

Wow. Not true. Slip screens and bubble screens have been deadly in Madden.

SunMo

yeah screens are great this year, sometimes the dline gets to me too quick, but they are great.

the blocking is definitely better overall, but for some reason NCAA got it better than Madden.
I'm the Anti-Christ. You got me in a vendetta kind of mood.

My problem with Madden is I often have trouble running.  I understand you have to set up your blocks but my guys are getting blasted as soon as they get the ball.

i like the flow of the game a little bit better than NCAA, but the blocking in NCAA is much better.  the intelligent blocking design works so much better in NCAA, i'm not sure why it's different in Madden.

Because if EA made both games the same, then the only selling point for each one is College teams and NFL teams.  And since a large majority of football fans follow both College and the NFL, it would be bad business to duplicate products and put them in different packaging.  So you get some good qualities in NCAA that are left out of the NFL version and vice versa.  This leads to a lot of idiots shelling out $120 for 2 games instead of $60 for 1.

I just got the Xbox360.  Yeah I know, welcome to 2006, but what game(s) are must plays?  Oblivion, Halo 3, Fallout 3, Dragon Age, Red Dead Redemption, Bioshock, GTA etc. are all highly rated on Gamespot.  Any suggestions as what i should try first when I get some time??

Sgt PSN

Has the 360 really been out since 2006?  I just finally got one like last year.  At least you have an excuse.

what games did you like the last time you played?  All of those titles are excellent but obviously, quite different from each other.

Hmmm....Last games I remember playing are Madden, Tiger Woods, Splinter Cell, Baldur's Gate 2(PC), NWN(PC), Halo 2, SSX, and Burnout.

If you liked NWN and Baldur's Gate, go with Dragon Age for more Bioware goodness.

In that case, I think it would be safe to say that you'll enjoy any of the games you originally mentioned.

Of those I've actually played, I'd rank them thusly:

Dragon Age: Origins
Fallout3
GTA
Oblivion

I'm playing Dragon Age now and it's the best RPG I've played in quite a while.

Favorite 360 games off the top of my head:
Bioshock 1 & 2
Mass Effect 1 & 2
HALO 3
Red Dead Redemption
Fable 2
Gears of War 1 & 2
Call of Duty

My faves on the xbox:
Bioshock 1 & 2
Halo 3
COD: Modern Warfare
Red Dead Redemption
Madden 11
NHL 10 (but 11 is coming out in a month)
Arkham Asylum

Fallout 3 and Oblivion were good, but somehow bored the crap out of me. Too much wandering around and talking to people.
