Pretty pumped about the ESPN deal. I don't get cable TV, yet my tv has built in digital tuner and so i do get a decent amount of cables networks, minus espn. about the only channel i miss other than discovery and history.

I guess they are saying its free to gold members? I suspect the monthly fee will go up though eventually.

Kinect? What is that, ebonics?
Calling it right on the $ since day one.
Just pointing laughing, and living it up while watching the Miami Heat stink it up.

its teh figure, and the new 360 looks nice.  Its smaller, better processors, and has WiFi finally.

I use my xbox to game, and that's about it. But Kinect is very impressive, it's due out Nov. 4th. The geek in me wants it but I'm wondering how much it will cost and if I'll ever use it.
The ESPN deal is sweet, I'm guessing you'll get the games that aren't aired on regular tv.

Thinking about trading my old xbox in for the newer version, I guess your hard drive just transfers? Wonder how much I can get for a trade in of my old 360.

Gears of War 3 looks awesome. Fable 3 - awesome. The game I came away most impressed with was HALO Reach, I haven't played a HALO game since HALO 3 but I might have to give this one a try.

the transfer is pretty Easy SD.  I upgraded from a regular Pro over to an Elite.  So long as you upgrade to a larger HD, you just plug in your old HD into a cable, and plug it into the new xbox.  You run a disk, and in two hours everything is copied over.  Only thing is MS used to give the cable away for free, now you need to buy it, or find someone with one.  Luckily my buddy had 2 cables.  I'm thinking they probably thought this one over more, and it may even be easier.  Kinect seems like the real deal.  I'm done with my Wii, i just never use it.

Sounds easy enough, I'm guessing they'll include the cable but if not what's it cost like $10?

I never got the motion control stuff for gaming, guess I like mashing buttons. The technology of it is just amazing and would be the reason I got it.

yeah, it was between 10 and 25 bucks.  All you really need is the cable once, and the Disc to do the transfer.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

Also, apparently they have remade GoldenEye for the Wii. They changed the story and replaced Bronson with Craig, so I don't know how it'll measure up to the original.

from what it sounds like they just remade the original maps, and added a few others.  It may be the only game i play on wii outside of sports.

Sony always has the lamest showing at E3. They basically created an updated Wii mote with their Move (why even go that route when Wii has that segment of the market locked down?) and updated their online but are now charging for the upgraded stuff. The only thing I found remotely interesting was that Sorcery game looks pretty cool.

My room mate who isn't a gamer and I were laughing at them having a new spokesman for the PSP. He's just so urban and hip. rolleyes.gif I didn't even know who that Kevin guy was until I read about him in a blog. They show a bunch of crappy games to music, then Jack Tretton talks about the future. It's the same thing with them every year.

I'd rank this years showings like this:
Ninetendo
XBox

Playstation

I'd do the same, but flip Xbox and Nintendo based on xbox basically cutting the nuts off Wii if it pans out.  But thats all up to how good the technology works.  shtein Xbox's demos went perfect, while Zelda was farging up all day with the same old technology.  Playstaytion is laughable as a gaming system at this point.  They didnt do any planning.  I dont have stock in MS, but christ their system is pretty much getting all their focus now.

Gamestop offering up some good trade in prices for your old 360 if you're putting it towards a new one. I have around $180 worth of stuff so the new one will cost me around $120
