Signed into xbox live a little bit ago and got the update. I like it, way better visually and organized better. The avatars are kinda gay, but whatever

I'll second this.

I like the update quite a bit...other than the stupid avatar thing.  I really like playing the games from the hard drive, I like that they've expanded the chats to eight people, and the interface is a definite upgrade.  The avatar thing is weird to me, though...because it's such a blatant ripoff of the wii, and because they look so farging stupid.  For IGY-- [seinfeld]Whoooo's the marketing genius who came up with that one?  I mean, really...."[/seinfeld].

Anyway, the update is great....the avatar thing is retarded.  I want to see what dumbasses actually pay to upgrade the clothes and crap on those things.

On an unrelated note, newegg.com has Prey for $10 with free shipping, which seems pretty cheap.  Anyone here play it?  Worth it for $10?  I know it's been around awhile, but the reviews were pretty solid.

Actually, I have a HDD question-- I have the 20 gig hard drive and maybe only a gig or so of stuff on it that I can see, but only 12.2 is showing as free.  Does system info take that much space on the HDD, or is something wrong with the one I have?

i never played prey.  As far as the HDD, im always around 10-13gb's even when i dont have any downloaded games, might be a corrupt HDD, or i just read up and basically all users are limited to 13gb's, the rest is leftover for saves.

Microsoft is happy to hear it.  It's kind of bullshtein that you can't use one of the usb ports to attach a freestanding HDD.

Really though I am not sure I need to upgrade. The only game I play consistently has been COD4 an COD5 the past year. So I don't see the need to upload any of the other games I own when they basically sit on the shelf. I usually play the hell out of the game or beat it and trade it in for a new one so, farg microsoft I'm not buying the hard drive unless I find a need

I figure I'll keep the sports games I play a lot on there, and whatever fps I'm into at the moment on there temporarily.  I haven't checked to see how much space they take up yet, though.

mussa

i think its a good 6-8 GBs

Absolutely. Excellent game. Pick it up ASAP. One of the best and most underrated FPS on the 360.
Calling it right on the $ since day one.

Yeah, I was surprised.  I thought it would be more like 2-3 gigs.  I have NHL 09 and Madden 09 loaded and they take up about 7 gig apiece.

I signed back up for netflix, 8.99 unlimited streaming, its awesome.  My only complaints are they need more HD stuff, and I tried to watch Medal Of Honor, and they only had an hour of it available.

Anyone play Left 4 Dead? I watched some of the gameplay on youtube and killing zombie's is always fun. Might be a game I get down the line after I finish the 5 other games I want to play.

Joel was talking about that one in the game thread yesterday.  He seems to like it.

The demo is online. I liked it and will prob. buy it down the line as well used. The graphics were nothing special...sort of bland, not a lot of detail. But game play was simple...shoot a lot. Picking up objects was sort of a pain in the ass, but I'm sure gets easier as you play. The cool thing is, the zombie's always respawn...if your not constantly moving, they will keep coming at you even if you think you killed them all.

Made it to level 15 last night on zombie mode for COD5. A good tactic to use is to try and keep the last zombie alive. Have one guy run circles around the zombie and lead it away, while the other players board up the windows and get better weapons. This worked out great, but you have to be paying attention to how long they have been coming in and constantly asking your players how many zombies they have in front of them. This is key once you open up the hell room. Try it.

Also a player showed me last night a ledge by the steps in the main bottom room. This is how players got to rounds 70, it was a glitch an you could just sit up there and pick off the zombies. Now if you try it, the 2nd time you jump for the ledge it knock you down and you need to be revived.
