This is an insane time for games. A lot of games out there that I want right now. Little Big Planet, Far Cry 2, and Dead Space are already out. Gears of War 2, Resistance 2, possibly Prince of Persia all to be released shortly.

There are a lot of good games out there.  Someone just lent me Lost Planet, which is better than I thought it would be.

I also picked up NHL 09 the other night on a whim...and because I wanted a break from Madden.  I know there are a couple of other NHL 09 guys out there-- any hints? This is my first foray into EA Hockey.

One targeted question, too-- I get that the left stick aims the puck and the right stick shoots.  But the left stick is also for skaking.  When I'm coming up on the net, how can I skate AND aim?  Do I need to stop skating to aim?

Did you see videos of Dead Space? That game looks really good. It didn't really get talked about a lot before release. Sort of a sleeper hit. I love survival horror games like that.

Got the COD5 beta demo the other night and its so cool. Just like COD4, but WW2 style which I was against at first, but its really not a big deal. The guns are not as cool, but they are diff. so that keeps it interesting. I love how if you kill 7 players in a row, instead of calling in a helicopter, you release the dogs! Those things are a bitch sometimes. The 3 levels that they give you are enough to keep me addicted til next week. I'm def. buying it now. Oh and you and another team mate can jump into a tank and blow shtein up.

The only bugs I noticed was spawn points, they seemed to be really off, sometimes dropping you right into the heat of battle, they need to shape that up to be more like COD4. Also the tanks are dirt slow...maybe some more speed would help

wwII tanks were dirt slow.  its really the same game at cod4, just based in the 1940's at least for MP, i have no idea what the single player is like.

i know but they are def. not realistic. The M26 WW2 tank could reach 25 mph on road...these things move like 2 mph...and you can't crush anyone as far as I know. Need more juice!

the dogs are deadly on hardcore, best part about the doggies is following them and stealing kills.  Also Martyrdom is clutch when the other team has dogs, you can take them all out

i try to find a stairwell when the dogs are released...that way its one way up and you can just blast them away or stab the shtein out of them. i also love how body parts blow off if hit by grenade or other explosives

on Makin, im hoping they dont fix the Sniper Tree in the back jungle, you just jump on the stone blocks, and can climb up, and snipe the whole time, its nasty man,  i went 14-1 just in that spot.

no shtein...yea i saw some guys on the roof in tower, i think it is. but they were wide open. i just realized the trench gun blows people in half too

yeah, it was a great story, i beat it over the weekend.  obviously i had an idea on how it would turn out, but how it played into the overall storyline was pretty cool
