Nightcrawler was ok but Gyllenhall I thought was great in it.

Rome

HHidden Figures was really good.  I didn't see it but I took the critics word for it.

Caught Nightcrawler on netflix. Wasn't bad.

I saw this and got all excited thinking it was some sort of origin story that I somehow overlooked being released.  #sadface

just wondering, jedi powers are passed only by the father, not the mother, so how did kilo get his powers ?

I've never heard that before

Little late to the party but I watched Unbreakable. It was ok

Sgt PSN

I've never heard that either.  Force Sensitivity can be passed from one generation to the next, but I don't believe it is strictly a hereditary thing.  After all, Jedi were actually forbidden to marry and have kids, which is why Anakin/Luke were the first and only known father/son Jedi.

We just watched it the other day, too.  I had seen it not long after it came out but forgot nearly all of the details of the movie...just that it had a comic book angle to it.  Thought it was interesting but also kind of boring for the most part.

it was mentioned in phantom menace so it's understandable most would've missed it. qui gon jinn asked anikan's mother who the father was because they pass the force on.

im asking because it shows another dumb whole in the storyline created by lucas. plus yeah, I'm bored.

So the Force literally comes from a Jedi's yogurt slinger?

Hot.

Tomahawk

If the force were real and ingestible, Chuggie would be the Force Master

He asks who the father is but he never says midichlorians are only passed on by the father.

Anakin didn't have a father...according to his mother.  When Qui Gon asked her who the father was, she stated that she woke just woke up preggo one day.

However, in Ep 3, Palpatine referred to a Sith named Darth Plagueis who learned how to manipulate midichlorians so that he could create life before being killed by his apprentice.  Palpatine was that apprentice and killed Plagueis after he learned all of his tricks.  Fan theory is that a young Palpatine and adult Anakin bore a striking resemblance to each other and shared many of the same personality traits that it's possible that he is Anakin's father.

It's also speculated that Palpatine used his ability to essentially transfer life from Padme to Anakin at the end of Ep 3 in order to save him, which is what actually killed Padme.

this is pretty much where my question came from as i overheard three nerds in gamestop yesterday going on & on about this subject and some of these theories.

like i said im bored and i just didn't remember enough of phantom menace to remember if there was any more to that conversation between qui gon and shmi.
