General_Failure

I can't believe the studio replaced all copies of the film with a worse version in just two days.

The man. The myth. The legend.

Which Fantastic Four are you talking about?  The one(s) with Jessica Alba or the more recent one with Kate Mara and Wallace?  Because the former flat out sucked and the latter, while much better than the former, was decent at best.

Is that a rotten tomatoes score for suicide squad?

ice grillin you

correct....obviously they are totally different movies with different premises so it certainly doesn't mean ss is as bad but 26% is really bad especially for a super hero movie that gets gassed up by groupie blogger reviewers

So it's got a 26% RT grade based on 226 reviews, but 74% of the people who have seen it, liked it based on 68K+ user ratings.

Also, I think you're way off on the comic-nerd not giving this (or any comic) movie a bad review.  Comic nerds typically tear this shtein apart, especially if it strays too far away from the comic.  Thing is that now it's cool to be a nerd and the comic book genre sells really well with mainstream audiences.  These aren't comic nerds, per say, but teens and 20somethings who think the Big Bang Theory is awesome, but they don't have the actual desire to read and collect comics like actual comic geeks do, so they strictly watch the movies with the hopes that they can better understand and relate to the nerdy characters in the show and maybe come across as nerds in real life.

Reviewers are lame asses who don't have talent enough to engage in the process of movie making let alone actual journalism.

Forgive me if I prefer to make my own entertainment choices.

Suicide Squad - Overall, I enjoyed it but I definitely understand why it's getting crushed by the "pro" critics.  Not the greatest writing and I'm really not sure what the hell they were doing with Enchantress. The movie was almost entirely focused on Deadshot and Harley Quinn which made it feel more like they should have named it "Harley, Deadshot and some other guys.

In terms of the basic rules of movie making, this one falls way short.  The acting was ok, but in the actors' defense they weren't given a lot to work with. Margot Robbie absolutely stole the show though. She was also given the best material out of everyone to work with and she nailed it.

I feel like DC would have been better served to follow the Marvel formula and do a couple of individual character movies first and then pull them together for Suicide Squad. There was a lot of time spent in this movie going over Harley's origin story, a little bit of Deadshot's background, Diablo got about 30 seconds and the rest were just kind of thrown in there as filler.

I'd give it 4/10 in terms of general movie making and 7/10 in terms of pure entertainment value.

i had never heard of suicide squad before the movie came out....was it really that popular of a comic?

i also had never heard of the ryan reynolds one either...deadpool or whatever
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Suicide Squad was excellent.

A-  and only because of Jared Leto.  I understand he was playing a truly evil character but his acting is joke worthy.
