The Wizard of Oz was a move. Lost is real. Stupid.

Where was it a move to?

they went to space and to hang with Hans Solo and Chewbaca, then came back to the island.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

I didn't know he was German.

Quotethey are in purgatory.

If this is confirmed I have a lot of gloating to do... I called that shtein crazy early.

The writers keep denying that. It's becoming obvious that the characters aren't just random, they were brought there for a collective reason. I think the story is going to start to center around Claire's baby soon.

When the timer hit zero, you could here what sounded like an engine firing up.

yeah, and then as usual....nothing happened

stop whining. do you want the island to blow up in the middle of season 2?

Quote from: SD_Eagle on February 16, 2006, 01:46:13 PM-The picture shown to Sayid of the little girl by the American Soldier was of Kate.

We wondered about that, and I rewound the DVR a little to check it. It was a little hard to tell, but it's entirely possible.

Also, I didn't notice this before, but I saw it mentioned elsewhere. On last week's episode, in the diner where Sawyer was planning the con with the other guy...the waitress was Kate's mother.

Correct.

Also, the supposed 'other' captured said he arrived in a weather balloon and that his name was Henry Gale. Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz had an Uncle named Henry, her last name was Gale, and then there's the whole weather balloon thing. Just some food for thought.

That's if his story wasn't total BS. He probably just made it up, which makes the coincidence moot.

After all, Sayid thinks he's an other and Sayid is never wrong.

The story was total BS IMO. He's an 'other'. No way a weather balloon travels that far off course, or that he's there that long and this is the first contact he has with anyone. When Jack walked in the room his eyes lit up like he knew who he was and that he was going to be taken care of.

If they are in Purgatory how can a baby be born?  That doesn't make a lot of sense to me.

They aren't in Purgatory, the writers have stated that over and over again.

The BIGSTUD

There is no logical way they can tie up all the coincidences unless it's paranormal.

The other was definatley lying. Thats why he used his background as one from a book.

island takes a life, island gives a life thoery was debunked when shannon died and nobody was born (unless.....).

according to lindelof and abrams, there is a logical explenation behind everything. im thinking this is some mad sociological scientific bla bla big words type of experiment gone wrong. i dont think theres anything paranormal or purgatoryish. that would ruin it for me if it gets to sci fi. im hoping whenever it raps up, its something remotley realistic (though obviously extreamly dramatized because its a tv show).

The BIGSTUD

The problem with it being realistic is it would have to be insanely far-fetched or would have to be too complex to even understand. How would they logically explain the "monster"? Unless it is something like nano-bots. If that was the case, I don't understand how an underground corporation like Dharma could afford the technology and the scientists to create that type of technology.

I would actually prefer something paranormal. At least that way it could be explained in a way that doesn't make it much too far-fetched.

I thought it was interesting that Henry said his business was in some kind of metals. Was it non-magnetic metal or something like that?

Damn...I wish I had saved the recording.
