Did anyone watch last night?  I could not get into it all.  Showing another one of those hour long series recaps before the new episode really pissed me off.

Interesting theory:

My theory is that the Others are trying to manipulate time and fate and that they are soldiers in an epic war against the agents of fate, a la the lady in the ring shop. I believe now that the Others were on their way to developing a method of defeating fate's agents but that fate put all of these people on flight 815 and are now using them as their soldiers. For some reason, the magnetic shield kept the agents of fate from changing form (Their original form is the "security system") and allowed people to deviate from what Fate had assigned them. For example, Locke can walk, and Sun is preggers. The island seems to be a sanctuary from fate (at least once on the island), or at least it was when the buttons were being pushed.

Fate sent Desmond to the Island because it was Desmond's destiny to be the one to not push the button (Which keeps fate and its agents off the island) and to allow everyone on that flight onto the island. Fate is now doing its best to counter the Others' attempt at manipulating time and, for all intents and purposes, fate. The Others are seeking children on the island because on the island they can keep the babies away from fate's agents and train them (as we saw last week) to be manipulators of time.

These are jumbled thoughts, I know, but I think you get the general idea. If I wasn't tired and sick, I'd write out my own theory and try to make it clearer.

Crazy episode, but the lowest ratings ever. Perhaps the idiots who cannot pay attetion unless things are getting blown up and everything is getting solved in a nice little box by the end of the hour is jumping ship. America is stupid, it's of billy beane's and king cole's.

King of Queens was easily one of the worst shows I've ever seen. If Leah Remini ever opens her mouth again she should be thrown into the nearest meatgrinder.

The only long-running sitcoms I can think of that were worse are Everybody Loves Raymond, Two and a Half Men and that god awful Jim Belushi show.

Lost isn't expected to be on that long, the writers gave it a 5 year life span, which it will easily make. Also, Lost is 1 hour long with a complex storyline, King of Queens is a half hour comedy. Big difference.

yeah, you can't even begin to compare a 1 hour drama to a half hour sitcom, sitcoms have no continuity from week to week, season to season.
