That was probably the most plausible theory I've read so far.

im not sure about the whole collective conscious part either, but he did have an entire plot based around electomagnetic yadda yadda.  Something about scientists working there testing stuff sorta like a Noah's Ark of testing subjects. Which would explain strange animals and other stuff being there.  I didnt really pay attention to the rest of what he was saying.

My girl and I just watched season one and got hooked.  That being said, we can't watch new episodes since we've missed a handful.  We're gonna wait till it comes out on DVD so we can watch it straight through.

I won't be checking this thread anymore to avoid spoilers, etc.

If you watched lastnights episode you may have seen faces in the black smoke that confronted Eko, here they are. Some of the villagers and his brother are among the faces. (Creepy)

Interesting that the smoke monster seemed to be reflecting back things in Eko's mind. Also interesting to see that Eko seemed to know what it was, and he didn't fear it.

You might get a kick out of this, last year my son's school had a fund raising auction.  One of the parents worked on the set of Lost so she donated a bunch of things to auction off.  My wife picked up a cool Lost Crew t-shirt.  Well one of the things up for bid were these little statues they "claimed" were used on the show.  My wife asked me if she should get one and said forget it.  I think they were going for like $20.  Turns out the little statues were, yep you got it:









The heroine filled Marys.  I was so bummed when I saw that last night.  They made a brief appearance last season.
