Nah, it should be something good and noticable here.  What good is an empty guarantee?

With action this week almost concluded, here is the picture at the top of the CFFFL AFC Division.

Three teams have secured playoff spots:
AntiMustacheBitchers (hbionic) (AMB hereafter) loses this week to CSD (CheeseSteakDude) (CSD hereafter) and falls to 9-4.
Brooklyn Huns (Diomedes) (BH hereafter) wins this week over JTrotterFan, improving to 9-4.*
CSD defeats AMB and likewise improves to 9-4.

The fourth spot is up for grabs between two teams, depending what happens tonight.

Muffed Punts (Reidme) (MP hereafter) (8-4), trail Stiffler's Pale Ale (Sgt. PSN) (SPA hereafter) (7-5), by 37 points with Shaun Alexander still to play.  SPA has no one left to play.  If MP can muster the win on the strength of Alexander's performance tonight, they will improve to 9-4 and lock up the last playoff slot.

If however SPA hangs on for the win tonight, then they will improve to 8-5 (with an 8 game win streak!!), and conclude the regular season tied with MP (and possibly DMAC2T.O. (PhillyMic2000) (D2T hereafter) 7-5), forcing a three way tie-break which they will win, locking up the last playoff spot.**

Regarding Seeds:  This is complicated and the final ranking depends on what happens in the MP vs. SPA contest tonight.  If MP wins, then we'll have four 9-4 teams and one heck of a logic problem for me to puzzle out.  I haven't even begun to think about that.
As it stands now, three teams have 9-4 records.  None of these three teams enjoys the head-to-head tie-break advantage over BOTH of the others, so according to the rules, determination of the #1 seed is based on total points.***   With 1377.50, BH will take the #1 seed..  That leaves AMB as the #2 seed  with 1256.50 and CSD with the #3 seed at 1247, subject to change depending upon tonight's results.****

*Each team has one defensive back remaining to play in tonight's game, so I'll take the risk and and say that BH's 53 point lead will hold.
**Assuming an SPA win tonight, the tie-break between SPA and MP is a draw on head-to-head games because MP was victorious in their first match (week 4).  The second criteria is points: SPA has 1289 and MP 1207.  Since SPA leads the total point count by greater than the margin by which they lead MP in tonight's game, it is logically impossible that MP could win the tie-break on points.  So if SPA can hang on tonight, they will also win the tie-break over MP, and the fourth spot in the playoffs.
Even if D2T wins tonight, they are eliminated.  Leading by 26.5 points (with kicker J.Brown left to play) against Chuck_Chillout's Deepballas, who have Hasselbeck going tonight, D2T has a chance of improving to 8-5. If that happens, AND SPA wins, then D2T will join MP and SPA at 8-5.  In that case, a three way tie would force a tie-break.  SPA wins the tie-breaker over MP as mentioned above, and having split their head to head match-ups (weeks one and ten) with D2T, would defeat D2T on points, 1289 to (approximately) 1227.50.  SPA would hold the tie break over both of the other 8-5 teams, and hence take the last playoff spot.  Finally (and I hope obviously), if D2T wins tonight but SPA loses, D2T fails to advance because MP will lock the final spot up on the 9-4 record.
***AMB holds the tie break over BH (from week 7).
BH holds the tie break over CSD (from week 6).
CSD holds the tie break over AMB (weeks 4 and 13).
****CSD has Jason Witten tonight, so he it's quite possible that he could move into the second seed.

There is a heck of a problem being created by JTrotter over at Yahoo AFC league, it needs addressing, both directly and in league sanctions. If it is left unaddressed, cest la vie, I will be picking it clean.
The NFL old standard.

MURP

Diomedes just alerted me to this.
1.  That is a horseshtein move by JTrotterfan and it pisses me off.
2. None of the players he cut can be picked up by other teams.   If someone picks a player up that he cut, that player will be removed from the owners roster by Dio (who can do this using the commish tools).
3.  You can do normal FA moves until Wed at noon.  At that point, all teams rosters will be frozen for the rest of the year season since we are going into the playoffs.   There is to be no BS roster moves by non playoff teams cutting their players so playoff teams can pick them up.  Anyone who does this will be banned from CFFFL next season.

JTrotterFan cut his entire team.  Slick move.  I've advanced the waiver period on all of these players to 7 days.  That will keep them from showing up on anyone's roster this weekend.  See MURPs note above regarding transactions going forward which applies to BOTH CONFERENCES.
