Or it could be that no one else offered him a contract.

Ron Artest used his twitter account to contact the fan in detroit that threw a beer at him a few years ago and wants to make nice with him so they can talk to inner city kids together - presumably about how terrible it to waste beer like that.

nothing big ever happened in vancouver either, so this is basically the biggest day in the franchise's history.

QuoteUPPER MARLBORO, Md. (AP) — Cleveland Cavaliers guard Delonte West was arrested Thursday after officers pulled him over for speeding on a motorcycle while carrying two loaded handguns and a loaded shotgun in a guitar case.

Prince George's County police spokeswoman Sgt. Michelle Reedy said Friday the Cleveland Cavaliers player was arrested about 10 p.m. Thursday.

Reedy said West was riding a Can-Am Spyder motorcycle north on the Capital Beltway in Upper Marlboro when he cut off an officer, who pulled him over.

Police said a handgun was found in his pocket, another in his pant leg and a shotgun in a guitar case strapped to his back.

Reedy said West ``was very cooperative, there were no issues'' during the incident.

The 26-year-old West, who lives in Brandywine, was charged with speeding and weapons counts. It is illegal to carry concealed weapons and to transport loaded guns in Maryland, according to police. Reedy said West was released on his own recognizance early Friday.

Cavaliers general manager Danny Ferry said the team was monitoring the situation.

``We have been in communication with Delonte and his family,'' Ferry said in a statement. ``We are gathering more information and will not have further comment until the appropriate time.''

Online court records did not list an attorney for West.

Last year, West left the Cavaliers' training camp to seek treatment for depression and a ``mood disorder'' he said he has battled his entire life. At the time, he said he was taking medication and attending therapy sessions. West said his mood problems date to his childhood.

West has said his mood swings seem to be most erratic when his life seems to be in order.

Rick Reilly is a self important dickhead whose writing is downright awful. I've also read how he big times his way into events he's not covering. There was a rumor going around that he took his plastic bimbo girlfriend to the Kentucky Derby and sat in the press box despite not working the event

Did anyone read this article?

yep.  didn't like it but at the same time, can't really say i disagree some of it.  jordan's always been the type of person to take anything negative in his life and use it as motivation to crush an opponent.  i guess i find it amusing that everyone at espn was all over jordan's ballsack when he was playing but now that they get nothing from him, it's ok to paint him as a bitter, cold hearted man.

he is the goat.  leave it at that.

I dont' really care about Reilly. I've read his stuff since he wrote for SI (does he still?).

But I read the speech by MJ. It was horrendous. I thought Reilly was dead on here.

25. Elton Brand
Good spot for him: no expectations nationally (he's been written off as an All-Star) or locally (because everyone in Philly shifted their attention to the red-hot Phillies and the annual "should we cut the cord with Donovan McNabb and Andy Reid" discussion, which has become an October ritual up there with Halloween and raking leaves). Big comeback season ahead. And to think, one more good Brand season will get him the record for "most times being overrated and underrated in one career," previously held by the next guy on our list
