Needless to say I was stunned at the conclusion of that game.  I didn't think the Magic would win a game much less one in Cleveland.  If they were going to steal one, though, Game 1 was the one after the Cavs' long layoff.

I still think Cleveland wins the series and rather easily.  Cavs in five.

Sgt PSN

yeah, i hadn't really given any thought to the fact that cleveland had such a long layoff.  even with lebron, it still doesn't feel right saying that cleveland has the best team in the east and has been cruising through the playoffs.  it's like calling mds a ladies man.

PhillyPhreak54

Amazing shot by LeBron.  :o :o

Did any of y'all see what Mo Williams said to him as they were coming outta the timeout? "Don't farg it up; I'm coming to you".

Rome

Another stunner.   How does Van Douchebag not have all five guys on LeBron?  Idiot.

Sgt PSN

lebron is sick.  period.  but players like him, kobe and garnett are the only reason why there's still an argument for kids being allowed to go straight from high school to the nba.  unfortunately though, the are only 3 out of maybe 100 over the last 12 or 13 years that have made the jump successfully.

but what's up with cleveland blowing a 23 point lead though?  they really need to tighten back up on defense.

Well they were down by 2 not 3 so the first priority on D was to prevent a lob pass to Lebron or a wide open shot closer to the rim for the other guys.

They did that. Turkeyglew actually did a good job of ball denial for a easier shot, Lebron slight pushed off of him, and went for a impossible 3 pointer. Can not really fault the D there.

Marge: Its not BATMAN!

He hits that shot maybe 20 times out of a 100, so yeah, I can't really fault the logic.  I would have had two guys on James, though.  That part at least for me is a no-brainer.

Another amazing game.  Mo's guarantee = FAIL and Cleveland is in trouble again....

LeBron is the only one who's left Atlanta at this point...

the NBA could really use an Orlando Magic/ Denver Nuggets showdown in the Finals to boost their popularity and ratings

PhillyPhreak54

Maybe if LeBron wouldn't commit dumbass turnovers in the waning seconds, or hit his FT's...or if Cleveland could find some semblance of defense they wouldn't be facing a huge hole and an NBA ratings nightmare.

I am rooting for LeBron and Cleveland, but goddamn they've been playing stupid.

ice grillin you

cleveland is losing because its lebron and a bunch of garbage....its a tribute to his greatness that hes gotten that joke of a team to two conf and one nba finals....the sixers played the magic much better than cleveland has

team.  basketball.

the scary thing though is that lebron is good enough to put the cavs on his back for 3 straight.  he did it against detroit in the conf finals a few years ago.  but yeah, the cavs team as a whole is not built well for the playoffs, especially against a team that has a strong big man like howard.

reese125

which is exactly the reason why Lebron cant carry this team for 3 straight on his back this time because Detroit didnt have a big man like Howard

I really thought this series was going to be a field day for Lebron because of the Magics defense, but the Magic drastically changed their defensive style since the beginning of the series. There are also major mismatches every time down the floor when the Magic have the ball as well.

Ilguaskas is absolutely atrocious and cant even put a hand in the face of Howard whick kills the Cavs alone, and I mean just having Hedo at the top of the key handling the ball with any Cavs guards on him is enough of a mismatch to lose.
