Magic supposedly get Rashard for 5 years 75 mil. Don't think it is a good signing. He plays no defense and doesn't really put them into eastern conference contenders either.

He's not being signed for his defensive prowess.  The Magic have oodles of players who can play defense already.  What they needed was a scorer to complement Dwight Howard and that's precisely what Rashard Lewis is... A SCORER.

Trade rumor

I got a call from a friend in Detroit who said a radio station there -- 1270 AM -- is saying that Richard Hamilton may be heading to the Sonics. This has not been confirmed by anybody I know but just thought I'd throw out the scuttlebutt. Keep in mind, though, that assistant GM Scott Perry was hired from Detroit, and the Pistons just drafted Rodney Stuckey and Arron Afflalo.

He improves the team no question. But with the NBA today, the cap is such a joke, that you almost need to stay away from long-term deals unless the players are absolute superstars. Otherwise you can get stuck in mediocrity so fast.

Every time I heard Shawn Kemp's name mentioned I laugh. I remember a while ago they mentioned Shawn Kemp like 3 times with a 2 week span on ESPN. How the farg does this guy keep coming up? Not to mention he's missed like 5 tryouts to get back in the league.

Speaking of Dunks...I was watching the old school dunk contests the other day...the one where Spud Webb and Dominique were tearing it up. Good times.
