As disgusting as Kobe is... Paul Pierce, Garnett, Glen Davis, Rasheed Wallace, Kendrick Perkins are all worse than Kobe.

Everyone hates Kobe because he's all about him, he raped an innocent white girl, and because he acts like he's from Philly then the next day trashes Philly and the fans. But that stuff was all years ago, and while Kobe is still all about himself, at least he's subtle in his selfishness. He's not a completely obnoxious and flamboyant douchebag like the Celtics are. Screaming after an and 1, pumping their fists and slamming the hardwood after a 15 foot jumper, sticking their chins up at the air and talking shtein behind the Lakers backs. The list goes on.

Oh, and Rasheed Wallace running laps around the court after the most obvious of foul calls.

Kobe Bryant is fake, LA is fake, their fans are fake, but the Celtics and their fans and their PA announcer is annoying and obnoxious. I guess it comes down to what you dislike more. I personally couldn't care less that the Lakers have celebrity fans. They are harmless. People hate the Lakers for that reason alone, and while it is lame, all they do is sit there and watch the game. I care more about the teams and there is absolutely no question the Celtics are a more unlikable team.

I grew up watching Bird, McHale, Parrish, Ainge, et al.    I don't even truly support them, but I just can't help myself when they are playing against the Cowboys of the NBA.  LA makes Boston look like paradise.  I can't stand Kobe.  So there you go.

Also, I LOVE Rasheed Wallace.  One of my favorite active players, hands down.

this is philly. as detestable as la, kobe and the lakers are, they dont compare to the aids-infested awfulness that is the city of boston, its mongoloidian-inhabitants and that pos basketball team.

I've loved the Eagles since before I remember, and they are the only team I've ever actually bothered to follow.  My favorite basketball team changes with the years, depending on who's playing the kind of basketball I like.  I think my favorite team was the Pistons with Chauncey, Rip, Ben and Rasheed, etc.  That was a great team.
