So we are adding D-players to the game...

man...17 rounds....maybe we should start this earlier than August since we had less people and less players to choose in the keeper and that took a while...

I'd also change it from Offensive Fumble Return TD (6) to Defensive Fumble Return TD (6) or just add the defensive category if that is possible.

Just wanted to make sure you saw this, MURP.

We do need to set some sort of time limit for picks. People NEED to realize the importance of utilizing lists.

Playoffs:   Week 14, 15 and 16 (8 teams)

How is the playoffs going to work then?  I thought it would be 4 teams per conference.  Weeks 14,and 15 to determine conference winners.  then week 16 would be the final.

MURP

8 teams in playoffs.   Week 14 will be a playoff.  There will be 4 teams left in playoffs.  Week 15 will be a playoff.  Then there will be 2 teams left.    The team with the better record at that point will be the NFC champion and the team with the better record in the AFC will be the AFC champion and we will score week 16 manually on the board as the superbowl.

So in effect, week 16 on Yahoo doesnt matter at all... even though there will be a championship game played on yahoo.  Week 16 will be the Superbowl between the AFC and NFC.

Thawk.  An offensive fumble return for a TD would be 6 points.  Lets say you have a player on your roster (like a WR) who picks up a fumble and runs it in for a TD.  That would be 6 points.   There is also a catagory for defensive player that just says  Touchdown (6).  Your defensive player would get 6 points for scoring a TD in any fashion.

We don't have to start earlier necessarily, because last year we had a draft with 16 teams in it, that took forever.  Now we have two seperate drafts with 10 teams, so each draft won't take even as long as last year IMO even though there are extra rounds.

One thought though is that we should do the country/find out what pick you are thing.  It would be nice to know a little in advance if I'm picking at the top, middle, or bottom of round one.  Just a suggestion for a little strategy it would be nice to know ahead of time.

Tomahawk

You'll know ahead of time as the order will be posted before the draft starts.

What would be bad about knowing a week in advance vs. the day before? ;D

So when is the draft going to be??  I leave today at 4:30 PM CST and start a new job on 07/26/04. As this is with a new company, I doubt I'm going (or will be able) to take the liberty to access the internet that I currently do.

Unfortunately, I do not yet have i-net access at home either. :-\ :-[ :-X

RomeyRome

Wow you are screwed, you might as well start making up a VERY long list. ;)

Do you think a list of 100 would be enough?

Maybe I have been staring at the screen too long but that doesnt make sense to me.  Sounds like you saying that 8 teams make it from each conference, then after 2 weeks of playoff games we have 2 left from each conference(4 teams left out of 20).  Those 2 teams don't play(they do but it doesn't count).....one is declared a winner based on record and then plays the team that is declared the winner in the other conference in the Super Bowl?   ???

MURP

exactly Jones.   It sucks, but thats the only way to do it because of the way Yahoo sets up the playoff options.   The only way to possibly do it and have it make sense is to use 14, 15, 16 on yahoo... and then play week 17 as a Superbowl on the board between the NFC/AFC Champ.  Only problem is that NFL teams sometimes sit their stars week 17 before the playoffs.
