I was thinking about this last night at work while flipping through a FFL magazine...

Since we're setting up 2 different league, will we hold an NFC draft and an AFC draft? If there are plans to have the NFC champ play the AFC champ for the title, what if the two final teams have many of the same players?

Whats da dealio on this thing?

I have played in a similar league like this for the last 6 years and have yet to see any two teams match up in the finals with more than 3 of the same players.  It will work out in the end.  hopefully

Their will be 2 seperate drafts, otherwise we're back to square one where no one has enough RBs, crappy QBs, and WRs like PInkston starting.

Like Jonesz said, the chances that the two teams that meet will have more than a couple of the same players are slim, but if it should happen on the one in a million chance, then we'll work something out.

Either way, the point of this is to accomodate more people into the league, without watering down the teams.  So the plan is to have 2 seperate drafts.

yes, two seperate drafts.   Dio will be in charge of everything in the AFC draft.  I will do the NFC draft.  The two leagues are seperate from each other, other than the fact of having a Superbowl against each other.

In future years, maybe we'll be able to have some interleague battles, maybe on the board or something, so that we can mix the leagues up during the season as well.  Or maybe we can mix up the leagues in the playoffs.

Such as have the #1 seed from the NFC play the #4 seed in the AFC, and the #2 seed from the AFC play the #3 seed from the NFC, and so on.  That is only if we decide to do the playoffs on CF instead on the Yahoo site.

I guess for now they are seperate leagues though.  Are we doing H2H or scoring?

The playoffs are something that will have to be figured out.  In fact, in do time, I will start an entire thread about it so we can get a variety of opinions on the best way to do it.  That can wait for the time being.  First we need to get 2 more people in the AFC League... then get the draft order down.  Dio and myself will set up the leagues the same as to point scoring etc.  Once that is all taken care of the drafts can start... at the start of August.

Good, now that we got the two leagues filled, everyone can now read stupid magazines and read rediculous articles and "tips" on web sites so that they can go into the draft and make horrendous first round picks.
