Giants WR Plaxico Burress has burned the Philadelphia Eagles for three consecutive 100-yard games in the regular season coming into their Week 4 meeting on Sunday night. He grabbed six balls in each game, averaging 115.7 yards and scoring two touchdowns. He also scored twice in the playoff game against the Giants last season.

Although to be fair, in previous seasons the Eagles defense was often distracted by a Giants running back who regularly combined for 200 yards against them.

Good point, one I hadn't thought about. This will be the first Giants game without Tiki in a long time.

Burress also has a severly sprained anke and did not practive today. So severe they got a 2nd opinion to make sure nothing was torn. He will probably play, but will be limited.

Jacobs is out, Ward did not practice on wednesday (although for RB's this seems to be pretty normal).

I'm sure Schokey is hurt, somehow.

News: Giants WR Plaxico Burress got some good news about his badly sprained right ankle. The second opinion on the ankle showed it was nothing more than a bad sprain, and that Burress can continue his current course of treatment. Burress will continue practicing on a limited basis about one day a week and intends to play Sunday night against the Philadelphia Eagles at Giants Stadium. "When I feel good enough to go and practice, I'll practice," Burress said after watching Thursday's workout. Burress was examined on Wednesday by Dr. Robert Anderson in Charlotte, N.C. His diagnosis of a serious sprain agreed with the diagnosis of Dr. Russ Warren, the Giants orthopedic surgeon.

It's too bad LJ Smith has a yeast infection because the Giants ability to cover the TEs has been laughable. Mathias Kiwanuka at SAM LB is worse than The Gocong Experiment (which is not going too poorly).

Maybe Celek and Showboat can do something.

Shoebel runs the seam pass really well. Would like to see Celek get in there and compete (for some catches) at some point.
