England looked pretty good today, but something is off with them.  They looked unbeatable last year at the Euros, but they just haven't really clicked in this tournament yet. 

The Aussie PK fest was insane too. They showed a plane full of Aussies watching the game on headrest tv's and they went mental when Australia won.  Good shtein.

Those games Friday, even Thursday night were amazing.  That AUS/FRANCE shootout, I had no vested interest in either team but damn I was a nervous wreck watching that.  England/Colombia was a bloodbath.  That American Center Ref was great, "Play on!"

I forgot to mention my daughter was in town so we went to see the Orlando Pride play Gotham FC last night.  Between the two teams there were 12 Olympians on the field including 6 from the USWNT.  Anyway, Orlando might have the best women's soccer team in the world right now.  The first half of soccer they played was utterly dominant.  Very cool vibe at the stadium too.  Probably 9,000 or so showed up but it's cool as hell to see so many non traditional fans there and knowing the game as well as they do.  Highly enjoyable hanging out with my kid too.  You don't know how much you're going to miss them when they are gone.
