Joey Porter says "the gloves is off"

Dolphins linebacker Joey Porter has taken a page from Bengals receiver Chad Ochocinco's 2008 playbook, taking to the media during Super Bowl week his case for a trade out of Miami.

And the effort reached a fever pitch on Tuesday, when Porter was interviewed on WQAM radio by Curtis Stevenson, Anita Marks, and fellow Dolphins linebacker Channing Crowder.

"The gloves is off," Porter said.

As to his reduced playing time, Porter repeatedly said, "For who and for what?"

Stage collapse at Sun Life Stadium injures four

Indoor Media Day was well received, but work being done outside of Sun Life Stadium did not run as smoothly.

Four volunteer workers were taken to area hospitals Tuesday night after a small stage collapsed in a parking lot outside of the stadium.  The Miami Herald reports that the injuries do not appear life-threatening.  Two of the four injured people were airlifted out to medical attention.

NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy says the volunteers were setting up for a rehearsal of the Super Bowl halftime show.
