Jimmy Johnson and Howie Long just said they believe he will be back but "with staff changes"

How would Florio know what Lurie is thinking? I doubt Lurie lets his inner most thoughts leak much less to a hack like Florio. Not to mention he probably will evaluate the team after the season, he's never been a knee jerk reaction type of owner...so saying this is what he's thinking is ridiculous. This is speculation on Florio's part.

florio is doing what he always does which is make shtein up...its not ridiculous to think andy will be back with a new dc...in fact thats what i think will happen...whats ridiculous is thinking reid has to admit he made a mistake to keep his job

Florio said "per a league source," which doesn't necessarily mean anything, and even if there is a legit source it doesn't say whether it's that guys opinion or he has something concrete to base it on.

Either way it is no great stretch. Who thinks Reid would keep Castillo anyway? He fired McDermott last year who did a better job and wasn't such a stretch to be hired for the job in the first place.  It's not like Castillo was a defensive guy that would just need a year to learn the ropes, he'd still need a few years on defense before he could be ready for DC in the best case scenario.

Yeah Florio said per league source. And like him or not he's got a few league sources. Then you have Johnson and Long saying the same thing. And LaCanfora said it too.

Exactly.

The report might have a bit more credit if it were the end of the season and these were the things being discussed. There's no way the inner circles at the NCC are seriously discussing this now and even less of a chance this news leaked.

"League source" is not a "team source" or "Eagles source", but then again, maybe Florio is enough of a hack to not know how to use the terms correctly. If he is using the term correctly, it's hard to imagine what a "league source" would know about what is going on in the brains of Eagles execs.
