Watched 'Friends of God: A Road Trip with Alexandra Pelosi' this afternoon. They wrapped up 90% of what I hate about religion in an hour and a half.

Right wing nazi corksuckers are torching that movie so it must be good.

Religulous was really good and you atheist will love it.

The concept of that movie puzzles me.  Who is it meant for?  I haven't seen it and won't because I already figured all that shtein out years ago.  Don't need Maher to preach to me what I know, and don't care to spend two hours laughing at religous idiocy.

I don't know that it's meant for any specific group, although at the end he makes a plea for those on the fence to come to his side and for Atheists to speak their minds. It's basically him going around to the different religous sects, interviewing them, and mocking them. I eat that shtein up.

Dio, i couldn't help but crack up at 1:15 in. " I worked at a homeless shelter for like 10 years"  :-D Holy ish, I couldn't help but think of you standing there saying that line. Not being a fleshpop, just thought it was funny. The entire video is funny too.

I like the idea of telling atheists they ought to speak up.  It would be great fun for the Super Bowl winning QB to say, "thanks to my team and my awesome arm for winning this game, God had nothing to do with it, we won it ourselves."  Of course, he'd be censored and lynched by the so-called liberal media, and then possibly lynched in real life by the religious zealots.  And of course, it's not gonna happen.

I too like to mock superstitious people.  That's what this thread is all about.  But I stop short of paying to see someone do it.  I wouldn't pay to see someone shoot fish in a barrel.

The only bad thing about religion is those who want to cram it down your throat and think your evil and blastphamist if you don't conform to their way of balling like a baby with your hands in the air and throwing yourself down rolling across the floor every Sunday. I luv the way people who go to church on Sunday make them think it gives them the right to look down their noses at you because you want to drink beer and smoke cigars. My ex in-laws were holy rollers like that.

Otherwise it's harmless.

don't forget that nearly every major injustice throughout human history was done so in the name of one religion or another.

but if there is any single reason that i despise religion, it's because it tells women not to be sluts.
