Mike Williams signed with the Jags

Meh.  There goes one of my ideas out the window.

The Brees signing just killed every mock draft out there...

The BIGSTUD

Jets might get Leinart or Young now.
Calling it right on the $ since day one.
Just pointing laughing, and living it up while watching the Miami Heat stink it up.

all the talk i've read has been about Brees starting the first year while their QB draft picked was tutored.  Ala Kitna/Palmer.

Brees agrees to six-year deal with SaintsBy John Clayton

Blah, blah, blah, then this...

Even though the Saints will be looking at Matt Leinart in the draft, they have Brees as their starting quarterback. That puts the Saints in the position to possible trade down from the No. 2 spot and take defensive end Mario Williams or simply take the North Carolina State defensive end.

Didn't Brees just come from a nearly exact same situation in San Diego?  Can you imagine if the Saints draft Leinart?  That would be pure comedy.

:yay

By looking at I think it just means he'll be available at number 2, right in front of them.

FWIW, Eskin confirmed that the Packers have been calling teams to gauge interest in Javon Walker & the Eagles were one of the team's to express that they did. Of course, the Eagles don't want to give up a high draft pick, so I think we know where this is going.

I think Hood and a 2nd or maybe even 3rd could get it done.

I love Hood, and more than Lito, but Walker is much more of a need than a nickel corner right now. Of course I'd expect the FO to turn down a deal like that and some back with Hollis Thomas and a 4th.

:-D :-D :-D

Oh, come on.  He even gave the "FWIW" disclaimer.  Cut the guy some slack.

Do you realize how boring this board would be without speculation?

if you like hood more than lito youd be giving up a starting corner
