Mawae shot McDougle, stole his car, and ran over Darwin's hands. Darwin was helping Dhani with some hand art. Mr Jones got sand in his eyes, fell backwards, and killed Bret Favre's loyal dog Scruffy. The media is dedicating this season to Scruffy for Favre, even though he's not sure he'll play. Meanwhile, Carolina cheerleaders are still gnawing away at each other in the bathroom.

QuoteGiants | Team tenders Tyree
Fri, 3 Mar 2006 05:02:29 -0800

Vinny DiTrani, of the Bergen Record, reports the New York Giants have given restricted free agent WR David Tyree a one-year, $720,000 tender offer. If Tyree signs with another team and the Giants don't match the offer they would receive a sixth-round draft pick in return.

I'm shocked that the Jints gave him the low tender. They're stupid. This guy is a special teams STUD.

The Eagles should do everything to acquire a #6 pick and bring him in here. I'm not bullshteintin. He would be a specail teams mainstay for years. Dameane Douglas & Sean Morey x 100.

the Giants would probably match anything the Eagles offer, no?  this is probably their way of letting the market set his value.

Probably. Unless they get creative, which we all know Banner has been known to do. Not saying go all out crazy to sign him, but at least give it a shot. Front load it a bit and see if Accorsi matches. If he does...it was a nice try.

Cowboys | Campbell doubtful to re-sign
Fri, 3 Mar 2006 13:26:52 -0800

Mac Engel, of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, reports Dallas Cowboys TE Dan Campbell is doubtful to re-sign with the team and will likely hit the free agent market. Leonard Roth, Campbell's agent, said there is "less than a five percent chance" that Campbell would return to Dallas.

There. Right there. Blocking TE who can catch. One more step towards having an offense that can run the ball. Ever. Done.

The Seahawks are close to a deal to re-sign free agent Shaun Alexander, the NFL MVP and rushing champion, before he hits the open market, which right now is scheduled to be at 12:01 tonight. He's likely to get between $12 million-$15 million in guaranteed money. Seattle, by previous agreement, could not use its franchise tag on Alexander. He's an irreplaceable part for the Seahawks and they are the best fit for him. The contract could be announced tomorrow.

Rams to release Isaac Bruce today??

Quote
Bruce quietly agreed to contract renegotiations a couple of times in the past, most recently in 2002. But on those occasions, the Rams merely shifted money around to create immediate cap relief. This time, the team is asking him to take a significant pay cut.

The team is offering Bruce $9 million over three years, including $5 million this season in the form of roster bonus and signing bonus, according to league sources.

But without an extension, Bruce is due $8.1 million alone in 2006 under his current contract - the last year of a seven- year deal signed in 2000. That $8.1 million breaks down as follows: the $1.5 million roster bonus; $6.5 million in base salary; and a $100,000 offseason workout bonus.

So Bruce would make $3.1 million less this season under the extension. And in essence, he would be playing the entire three years of the Rams' proposal for only $900,000 more than he's scheduled to make this year alone under the old contract. (The $8.1 million in '06 compared to the $9 million, three-year proposal.)

Minnesota, per the local Miny paper, is supposedly interested in bringing in Drew Brees.

I showed this to Gints fans, they were OUTRAGED about the low ender to Tyree.  I agree, he would be a great add to our roster.

Hell yeah. The only trouble is would Reid take a chance on him and would they deem him important enough to front load a deal to force the Jints to not match? He was arrested awhile back for weed. But that didn't keep Buck off the team.

He'd be a great addition.

I assume a Tyree signing would mean the end of McMullen (WR+ST).  Also, who knows what the (injury recovery) status of Pinkston will be.

...depends on what he was arrested for.  If it's assault or smokin, ok.  but if it's hiding in bushes naked, no way!
