Why is everyone getting cut when there is a very good chance a CBA is still reached? You know how these things work, they hammer out last second issues all the time.

Simply as precaution?

Could be because the owners know it's not going to happen.

I'm not a fan of any move that reduces the chances of the Eagles drafting Vernon Davis.

ditto.

according to espn, talks have been broken off with no more scheduled.  so basically its not happening.

this actually makes me want to get to work early tomorrow, just to see who gets cut first.

The BIGSTUD

There is a meeting tomorrow. So more talks are scheduled. I still think this thing is going to get done.

really?  the bottom line disagrees with you.

The BIGSTUD

There is an emergency meeting tomorrow. The bottom line hasn't been updated I guess. That was announced yesterday.

You're correct. They also said there will be no extension to the current CBA and that Friday is still the deadline.

That's a meeting between Tags and the owners.  The NFLPA won't be there.  They said there will be no talks of the labor agreement.

I think there is too much at stake to not get done. I think they'll find a way to hammer it out. Of course I have no facts to back that up. Just an opinion.

The reports are the CBA is already agreed on. It's the owners and the revenues that is the problem.

where are you seeing this?

The BIGSTUD

Saw it a day or so ago on various sites. They said the CBA has been agreed to, but the problem is with the money part and the owners. The high earning teams supposedly want the low earning teams to shut up about equal shares and find out how to make more money themselves.
