I remember hearing him on the radio a couple years ago talking about how he's still a huge Astros fan.  That being said, I don't know if i'd be willing to sit Lane or Burke.  I can't say i've necessarily followed Dunn's career, but doesn't he strike out ALL THE TIME?
I'd would be somewhat willing to bench Lane, but not all the time. Platoon would be ok with me, but it'd be easier if Burke or Lane were included in the trade. I still want Burke at 2b when Biggio's done, but Burke could be like 29 by then. Dunn strikes out a lot, way more then a player should, but he gets tons of walks. He works the count alot, therefore strikes out alot and walks alot. His batting average is about .250 range, and his OBP is .400, what does that tell you?

Damn Geo.  thanks for the info.

I"m kinda iffy about trading prospects to insert a strikeout machine.  Having Brandon Backe and Roy Oswalt will be around for a while, but Pettitte and Clemens aren't getting any younger.  Losing Wade Miller to the Red Sox hasn't really hurt too bad considering he isn't back at 100%.  Either way, i'd rather hold on to the young arms.
I wouldnt mind giving up one or two prospects, but not all three of Astacio, Buccholz, and Nieve. I would want to keep Buccholz, Nieve, Gothreaux, almost all of the pitchers from Corpus Christi, Talbot and Patton. When you think about it, thats alot of solid pitching, but in 2 years they have like 5 pitchers set in stone. (Oswalt, Backe, Lidge, Wandy and Wheeler) Chances are all of those prospects wont work out, but they need to hold onto them as of now just to make sure some of them work. I'd be WILLING to part with Buccholz, Gothreaux, Hernandez, Astacio, and some others from CC, but thats about it. I wish Hernandez didnt have to do that headfirst slide.

He started his starter anyway...  :-D

Meanwhile, Oswalt and Podsednik (NOT Jeter  :-D :-D ) get the 32nd spots in the All-Star game....

Dillen

Oswalt is jesus, only in 28 year old starting pitcher form.

Reports are coming out that the Rockies are trading Preston Wilson to the Nats for Zach Day and JJ Davis (OF).

It'll be completed once they figure out the salary (Wilson makes $12.5M) and once he waives his no trade clause. The Nats are one of the 5 teams he can deny a trade to.

Wilson sucks though. He's only good at Coors.

Oh yeah -- Jim Bowden is making moves again. Must be nice to have a GM that doesn't sit around with his head wedged up his farging ass!

The Nationals lost Junior Spivey for 8-12 weeks after he broke his wrist in batting practice  :o

And Nick Johnson had a setback too, according to Buster Olney on BBTN.

Frickin Atlanta is going to catch them. Watch.

Kelly Johnson has 6 HR's for them already!

Mr. fragile ego is out, Morgan Ensberg is in  :yay

What, no Davil Bell?  :o

:-D

David Bell's going to be the caddy for the NL All-Stars.  They need someone to carry their jocks around.
