Francisco Rodríguez had more saves, but Wagner was more dominant (lower WHIP and ERA, higher K rate).  Rodríguez barely got 10%.

The "now or never" helped Wagner in this case, because it was his last time on the ballot.

Jimmy 100% belongs in the hof. Compare his stats both fielding and hitting to other hofers. Better fielding % than Ozzie smith, more hrs than Larkin...Jimmy is 7th all time at ss, 3rd all time at ss in hits behind only Ripken and jeter, most stolen bases of any ss in history, mvp, won a World Series. Ton of clutch hits in the playoffs.
